Paying your card by mail can be a bit sluggish, considering that you will have to wait until the payments gets to them. So if you want to avoid late fees and damage to your credit score, make sure to mail your payments several days in advance of your due date. Managing your Milestone Credit Card account and making payments online is generally the quickest way. There are several other ways of making Milestone Credit Card payments at your disposal.
Milestone® Mastercard® - Less Than Perfect Credit Considered
The Milestone Credit Card gives you a 25-day grace period to avoid paying interest on your purchases. The grace period runs from the end of the billing period until the card’s payment due date. You won’t owe any interest as long as you pay your balance in full during that timeframe. Should you decide to carry a balance on your Milestone Credit Card, it will accumulate interest daily at the card’s regular APR. Interest is compounded, meaning you will owe interest on both the principal balance and any interest already accumulated.… read full answer
In addition to the regular interest rate, Milestone Credit Card also charges a separate 29.9% interest rate on cash advances and a penalty rate for late payments. All Milestone Credit Card interest rates will be listed on your statement and on your online account summary.
The Milestone Credit Card does not have rewards. Its main purpose is to help people with bad credit rebuild their credit standing. For example, people with negatives like a bankruptcy on their credit report might find the Milestone Credit Card worth applying for. It doesn’t have a minimum deposit requirement either, so emergency financing is accessible, but you’ll have to keep its 24.9% APR in mind.… read full answer
People with bad credit or no credit who are looking for rewards will have to consider other options. The Credit One Bank® Platinum Visa® for Rebuilding Credit is one possibility. It offers 1% cash back on eligible purchases of gas, grocery purchases along with mobile phone, internet, cable and satellite TV services.
Or, there’s the Discover it® Secured Credit Card, which offers up to 2% cash back at gas stations and restaurants (on up to $1,000 in total purchases each quarter). You also get 1% cash back on all other purchases. Plus, Discover matches the cash back rewards you earn during the first year. But it requires a refundable security deposit of at least $200 to open the account, unlike the Milestone Credit Card.
