Yes, the OpenSky Visa can be used everywhere Visa credit cards are accepted, including car rental agencies. With that being said, rental companies typically place a hold on your payment account to cover incidentals. So you’ll need to have enough money in your account to cover the hold as well as the initial rental fees. As a result, we recommend contacting the rental company ahead of time to determine how much money to load to your account. You might also want to bring a credit card as backup.
Yes. I rent cars frequently and have done so many times using my OpenSky credit card. I would get denied outright when I tried to use my debit card because my credit was so bad. I usually rent from Budget. Hope that helped!
December 13, 2020 I flew into Milwaukee airport. Even though I have used my Open Sky CC from California to the Bahamas, I was denied a car rental. I had already paid for the car but they wanted a card for the deposit. Nope to Open Sky. My initial rental was with Dollar rental car. I went to every rental window ex., Hertz, Avis, Enterprise, Budget. No go. I had just recently rented a car in Oklahoma in October 2020 with my Open Sky CC so I don't know why Milwaukee airport does not accept this card.
