You can get the Southwest credit card 60,000 bonus points offer by spending $3,000 in the first 3 months you have the Southwest Rapid Rewards Premier Business Credit Card. After that, you’ll earn another 6,000 bonus points every account anniversary. The card also gives 2 points per $1 on all Southwest purchases as well as Rapid Rewards hotel and car rental partner purchases. And you get 1 per $1 on everything else.
But you have to be a business owner to get the Rapid Rewards Premier Business card. That includes being a sole proprietor. So you could qualify if you provide some sort of good or service for money on a regular basis. You also need to have excellent credit to get this card. And you have to pay a $99 annual fee.
For non-business owners, the current biggest Southwest credit card bonus is 30,000 points plus a companion pass. You can get that for spending $1,000 in the first 3 months with either the Southwest Rapid Rewards Priority card, Plus card or Premier card.
If you qualify for any Southwest card’s initial bonus, you will get your points within 8 weeks. But you are only eligible to earn the bonus when you apply if you don’t already have the card and have not earned its bonus within the past 24 months.
