You can qualify for a SunTrust Secured Credit Card graduation if you’ve been paying your bills on time and in full for at least 12 months since opening your account. The issuer will also review other factors, such as your credit score and income, so try improving those as well. If your account is considered eligible for a graduation, your initial security deposit will be refunded.

I’ve been with SunTrust since 2017, never missed a credit card payment nor have I ever been late and I have a 700+ credit but they keep denying me from graduating to an unsecured card. They say a third party evaluates your account every quarter to determine your eligibility. They’ve evaluated me for several years and still hasn’t upgraded me. SunTrust say they can’t provide a reason for the denial nor do they know who the third party is!!? I feel as though I’m being discriminated against and I I’ll file a law suit! I have no other choice!
