When you apply for a Target Credit Card, your credit score is one of the major factors that the card’s issuer will consider. But it’s not the only factor. Your income, employment status, debts and housing information matter, too. But generally speaking, the higher above 640 your score is, the better your odds of approval are.
Here are the Target Credit Card requirements:

You can apply for the Target Credit Card online, by phone at (800) 659-2396, by mail, or in person at a local Target store. When you apply online, you may be approved instantly, or your application may require additional review. A decision on a pending application can take 7-10 business days.
If approved, you will receive a minimum starting credit limit of $250. You will also be able to make purchases the same day you’re approved. You get temporary card information to use until your actual card arrives.
The Target credit card gives you a 5% discount at Target and Target.com. You’ll also get 30 extra days for returns and free two-day shipping on Target.com orders. There’s a $0 annual fee.
