No, there are no Uber Credit Card promotions at the moment. The card used to offer $100 In Uber Cash after spending $500 on purchases in the first 90 days of account opening. But this offer is no longer available as the Uber Credit Card has been discontinued. Current cardholders can still earn 1 - 5% cash back on purchases.
However, there are other cards that feature Uber promotions and other general perks that can be used toward Uber purchases.
Here are some of the best credit cards for Uber:
The American Express Platinum card card offers up to $200 in Uber credits each year for Uber rides or eats in the U.S. (up to $15 per month and $20 in December). You can redeem the credit by adding your card as a payment method to the Uber app.
Chase Sapphire Reserve gives a $300 annual travel credit as a statement credit reimbursement for your travel purchases, including Uber rides. And once you’ve spent the first $300 on travel purchases each year, you also get 3 points / $1 spent on certain travel purchases (including Uber), and 1 point / $1 on everything else.
The Amex Gold card offers up to $120 in Uber credits each year for Uber rides or eats in the U.S. (up to $10 per month). You can redeem the credit by adding your card as a payment method to the Uber app.
The Blue Cash Preferred doesn’t feature any promotions specifically designed for Uber, but it offers $250 statement credit for spending $3,000 in the first 6 months. On top of that, you earn 6% cash back at U.S. supermarkets (up to $6,000 spent per year), 6% back on select U.S. streaming subscriptions, 3% back at U.S. gas stations and on transit, and 1% back on all other purchases, earned as statement credits. Cash back is paid out in the form of statement credits.
The Capital One Venture doesn’t have any Uber-specific promotions, but its initial bonus coupled with its earn rate of 2 miles / $1 spent on all purchases makes it a great general purpose travel card. New cardholders earn 75,000 miles for spending $4,000 in the first 3 months. Miles can be redeemed for recent Uber rides at a rate of 1 cent per point within 90 days from the date the purchase posts to your account.
You could also pay for Uber rides with a debit card. But if you do, you’ll lose out on all the rewards that credit cards offer. Even if the rewards aren’t Uber-specific, it’ll still be worthwhile to get something back for every dollar you spend.
