You cannot actively upgrade your American Eagle Outiftters Store Card to the Visa version.

Applicants typically get approved for the store card after first being considered and turned down for the Visa version.

However, Synchrony Bank (the card’s issuer) may choose to upgrade you to the VISA version after at least one year of responsible use.
