The U.S. Bank Altitude Go card does not offer rental car insurance. But there are other U.S. Bank cards that do have this benefit, which covers theft, damage, valid loss-of-use charges substantiated by the auto rental company, administrative fees and reasonable and customary towing charges to the nearest qualified repair facility. Cardholders are covered up to the actual cash value of most rented cars.
To get coverage, a cardholder must pay for the rental entirely with an eligible U.S. Bank credit card. Examples of eligible cards include the U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve Visa Infinite® Card and U.S. Bank FlexPerks® Gold American Express® Card.
If you’d like a credit card with rental car insurance, there are plenty of options outside of U.S. Bank, too.
