Yes you can purchase items without your card. I have done it. You have to go to a regular register with a cashier and tell them you want to use your temporary shopping pass, and you have to have your ID.

Do I need just my ID I use to sign into my Meijer account, to use the card before I get it? Or is there a special code I need?
