Yes, you can get pre-approved for the Walmart Credit Card. The only way to get Walmart Credit Card pre-approval is by receiving a targeted mail offer, though, because the issuer of the Walmart Credit Card currently does not allow customers to check their pre-approval status online.
If you do get a pre-approval offer in the mail, you can respond to the offer online or call the phone number included in your offer letter. The letter will also include a reservation number and an access code, which you will need to provide so that the issuer will know to flag the application as pre-approved.
Be aware that Walmart Credit Card pre-approval is not a guarantee that you’ll be approved for the card. It simply means the odds of getting the card are in your favor should you submit an application. Also note that if you apply for the Walmart Credit Card, you are giving Capital One permission to conduct a hard "pull," or inquiry, on your credit report. Hard inquiries will lower your credit score slightly, but only for a short period. Pre-approvals, however, do not affect your credit score, as they’re done using a soft inquiry.

Walmart Credit Card pre-approval is available, as Capital One mails pre-approved offers to certain people who appear to meet the criteria for approval. A pre-approved offer means you have a good chance of approval if you apply, but it does not guarantee it. Unfortunately, you are not able to check for pre-approval online.
