The Walmart Credit Card limit will be based on the specifics of your credit, once your application has been approved. Your exact credit limit will depend on factors such as your credit history, income and debt when you’re approved for a Walmart Credit Card. That's true for both the Walmart® Store Card (Walmart purchases only) and the Walmart Credit Card (can be used anywhere that accepts Mastercard).
Key Things to Know About Walmart Credit Card limits
- You'll learn your credit limit when you're notified about account approval, either on the application website or by email.
- The credit score requirement for Walmart Credit Card is 640, at a minimum. That means applicants need fair credit or better to be approved. The higher your score is, the higher you can expect your credit limit to be.
- If you're unhappy with your initial Walmart Credit Card (or Walmart® Store Card) credit limit, you can request an increase online. Capital One uses soft pulls for these credit inquiries, so requesting an increase won't affect your credit score.
If you don't know what your score is, you can check it for free right here on WalletHub.

I just got approved for the Capital one Walmart card with a $300 limit. My score is 675. High interest 26%. But I will obviously pay it off each month so no interest. I did it for the 5% cash back for the 1st 12 months. Its not the best but I'm happy to get approved. I've been working on my credit for a year. Started at 535 and a secured Visa. Went thru a divorce that ruined my credit. I don't mind the low limit. Easier to keep up on payments which improves my score.

That depends mostly on your score and your income. I started with 1,500 @720, but your mileage may vary.
