You can use your Walmart credit card for gas at Walmart, Murphy USA, Sam’s Club, and Walmart Neighborhood Market stations. And if you have the Walmart Mastercard, you can use it to buy gas at any station.
Here’s where you can use your Walmart credit card for gas:
Walmart: 1,100+ stations
Murphy USA: 1,400+ locations in the South and Midwest
Sam’s Club: 500+ stations
Walmart Neighborhood Market: Some stores with stations
Stations Accepting Mastercard: Only applies to the Walmart Mastercard
You can also use your Walmart Store Card at Walmart.com, but you won’t be able to buy gasoline there.
If you do buy gas using your Walmart Credit card, you’ll get some great rewards. If you fill up at Walmart or Murphy USA, you’ll get 2% of everything you spend back as a statement credit. And if you use your card for gas anywhere else, you’ll still get 1% back as a statement credit. You’ll get these statement credits each month for the purchases you made during the month.
Yes, you can use your Walmart Credit Card at Sam’s Club. Both the Walmart Store Credit Card and the Walmart Mastercard Credit Card work at Sam’s Club for in-store purchases and gas purchases. Only the Walmart Mastercard can be used online for purchases from SamsClub.com, however. The website does not accept the Walmart Store Card.… read full answer
In addition to Sam’s Club stores and Sam’s Club gas stations, the Walmart Store Credit Card works at Walmart, Walmart.com, and Murphy USA gas stations. You can use a Walmart Mastercard anywhere that accepts Mastercard.
There are a few more things you should be aware of before making a Sam’s Club run, though. For one thing, if you’re not a Sam’s Club member, you’ll be charged a 10% fee at checkout when shopping there. Sam’s Club membership also costs $45 - $100 per year, depending on the membership tier.
So, if you’re already a Sam’s Club member, you can and should use your Walmart credit card there. If you’re not a member yet, it’s worth becoming one if your non-member service charges exceed the annual fee. That means you should join if you plan to spend at least $450 at Sam’s Club per year. Just keep in mind that if you have the Walmart Store card, you won’t be able to use it on the Sam’s Club website.
The Walmart Credit Card is limited to Walmart and their associates. The Walmart Mastercard Credit Card has a broader range of use: It’s accepted everywhere that takes Mastercard (which is pretty much everywhere). Best of luck!
