Yes, Nationwide does cover a locksmith for keys locked in a car through its roadside assistance program. Specifically, Nationwide roadside assistance covers locksmith services up to $100 if your ignition key is lost, your key breaks in the door or ignition, or your keys are locked in the car.
If you do not have roadside assistance, Nationwide won’t cover a locksmith if you get locked out of your car. In that case, you will have to contact a locksmith yourself and pay for it out of pocket.
You can get Nationwide roadside assistance as a policy add-on for $1.90 per month. In addition to locksmith services, Nationwide roadside assistance covers flat tire changes, jump starts, winching, and gas delivery.
