You can check your credit score as often as you want. There’s no impact on your score, whether you check it once in a blue moon or multiple times a day.
That’s because checking your own credit score and report results in a so-called “soft inquiry.” Only “hard” inquiries, which occur when you apply for a loan or line of credit, negatively impact your credit standing.
With that being said, how often it makes sense to check your credit score depends on where you’re checking it. Only WalletHub offers free credit scores that are updated daily, based on the latest info in your TransUnion credit report. All of other free credit score providers update their scores weekly, monthly or quarterly. So there will be nothing new to check for days between each refresh.
Of course, just because WalletHub offers daily updates does not mean you have to check that often. We recommend trying it out because you can learn a lot about credit scores by watching how, and if, they change from day to day. And you should definitely monitor both your credit score and report on a regular basis if you’re planning to apply for a credit card or loan in the near future.
But beyond that, simply checking in on a regular basis will put you one step ahead of the average person.

If you check your score on your own, inquiries won't hurt it. And you can check it every day, every week, every month, etc., depending on your case.
