This largely depends on when you were last treated for cancer - many insurers will decline you if you are within two years of cancer treatment. There are some policies (whole life) that you can obtain without a problem but they will be far more expensive than other policies of the same face value. Generally, the younger and healthier that you are - including past history- the better your rates for life insurance. Here's a sample question that you may need to answer to get coverage:"Within the past 24 months have you been diagnosed by a licensed medical provider, with internal cancer or melanoma, leukemia, lymphoma, stroke, transient ischemic attack (TIA), or have you had an amputation caused by any disease?"
