By sharing our expertise and experience on WalletHub, most of us posting here are sharing our knowledge and experience with the hope that we can expand our businesses. Unlike other sites I've seen, most of us here have no axe to grind or particular product to "push". I know of one online "expert" (not a WalletHub contributor) who denigrates a product widely used by investors in specific cases that does exactly what it's designed to do. But if you contact his firm and insist on buying the product, he'll sell it to you! So much for intellectual honesty.
One of the traits you'll find throughout the financial services profession is a very large ego: I have the answer, trust me. Most financial professionals tend to be very competitive individuals and firmly believe they are always correct. Forty + years in the business have shown me that this is not always the case. Hope it doesn't take you that long to learn the same lesson.
If you will frequent WalletHub and read the various posts on a wide range of subjects, you'll begin to see who knows what they are talking about and who you wouldn't pay for advice. There are a lot of other financial advice sites available to you. Check them out and, with enough time, reading and thought, you'll begin to know how to sift the chaff from the more solid, knowledgeable advice givers.
There may be a reason that books on financial advise are the number one search on Amazon.com. A lot of people want an easy, condensed "how to" solution. That solution isn't easily found. It will take time, trial and error on your part and, unfortunatley, some loss of captial to learn "how to".
I wish you all the best of luck in your pursuit of the holy grail of investng.
