I have a Chase College checking account. Shouldn’t I be exempt from the $6 monthly service fee?

I signed up for this account less than a year ago and am 21 years old and currently still a student. I have been charged this fee every month since I signed up.

According to Chase’s website, the monthly fee is waived for up to five years while you are in college. You can call customer service at 1-800-935-9935 and they should tell you what steps you need to take in order to waive the monthly fee.
