Thank you for your question. @susan did a good job answering the question.
Are you owning or leasing the property?
If you are leasing, start off by reviewing your lease and show this to your insurance broker.
You will need/want liability insurance. You and your broker will want to cosider if you should purchase the liability insurance in what is known as a 'BOP' which should include liability, some property coverage, and a small amount business continuation coverage.
You will probably need workers comp.
You may need business auto policy.
You 'may' want a commercial umbrella.
There may be other types of insurance that pertain to you.
Speak with a licensed broker or agent in your area before making decisions.

At the very least you need liability insurance to protect your assets from someone who gets injured while visiting your restaurant and decides to sue you. You may also need property insurance depending on whether you own or lease the building you operate in. If you lease check with the landlord to see what coverage may already come with the building. Seek out a qualified insurance agent who can help you determine what coverage is appropriate and affordable.
