
I have been an E*Trade customer for over 10 years. I have heard many horror stories about people facing identity theft issues with their banks. The stories usually involve the bank taken several months or even up to a year to process disputed claims when your identity has been stolen. A couple of years ago someone stole my check book and wrote over $2000 in checks. I went to the police and they said there was nothing they could do. Apparently identity theft is so high that police can not keep up with it. When I contacted E*Trade bank they were incredibly helpful. Not only were they were skillful in identity theft issues and able to quickly identify the forgery but they also were able to pin point the who, what, and where of the fraud committed within a weeks time. The guy that I spoke with from the fraud department was very professional, it was almost like talking to the FBI. If you want security, professionalism, and to be treated like an actual customer then E*Trade bank is the best way to go. I love this bank.
