I have been banking with Wells Fargo (and formally Wachovia) since I graduated high school. I have always enjoyed the customer service and warm smiles I get, every time I go inside. I have never had any issues with my account. I wish, instead of letting my account overdraft for $35, that it would simply decline my card. I have really enjoyed using the App, as well. I am able to do mobile banking, including depositing checks straight from my phone and having some of the funds available immediately. Many of my friends, who bank elsewhere, are very jealous of this and are also jealous that I can make cash and check deposits at the ATM.

Wells Fargo Value Checking Reviews
I have held a wells fargo checking account since they purchased Wachovia. As an account holder at Wachovia, i was a little worried about the change, but I couldn't be happier with everything wells fargo has done. I was able to keep my account number and "Way to save" account linked. My debit card is linked and i recently received the new card (complete with the chip for more security. This is a good thing, because my card number has actually be stolen many times. Customer service has been great, as they quickly reach out to me with any questionable purchases on my debit card and quickly erase any unwanted/stolen charges (no questions asked). I couldn't be happier as a wells fargo customer and will continue to be a loyal checking account holder of theirs for the future.
Overall I have been extremely satisfied with this checking account. The customer service has been fantastic. The tellers at the local branches are courteous, polite and efficient. I went in two weeks ago to my local branch and asked for some rolls for coins. The customer service rep advised as long as I am a checking account holder I can have all I want. I asked her if there was anything special I needed to do when I deposited the rolled coins (like write my account number on them or have a deposit slip) she advised as long as I have my debit card I could swipe it at the counter and then hand her as many rolls of coins as I had. Truly great customer service with a smile.
We have been banking with Wells Fargo for many years and this account type has definitely served our needs. We have never been hit with a fee because the requirements for maintaining the account are minimal: essentially, if you are working even part time with direct deposit, you should be able to meet the requirements to have the fee waived. In other news, the customer service we have at Wells Fargo is fantastic and we feel comfortable speaking with our banker about our needs.
I like banking with Wells Fargo since there is always an ATM around to use and plenty of branches to go to in person. The account is very basic and not a lot of bells and whistles. I was able to get some of the fees waved by making sure I had direct deposit. I like that there is no fees to transfer money to others. I have had good customer service but I have had my card frozen due to "suspicious" at in opportune times. I make a lot of online transactions and their security is very sensitive to multiple purchases in a short amount of time. I like having the security but think its too much some times. It was easy to fix but the timing sucked.
I have been with Wells Fargo for 7 years. I have always had great customer service and absolutely no problems with them. They're a great bank but the only thing I don't like is the monthly fee. Lots of banks have gotten rid of their monthly fees. If WF ever increases it, I will switch banks. $84 a year is a lot to be paying just for having "access" to their bank.
I used to have a Wells Fargo checking account a while back. It was horrible. I mean, the actual service provided wasn't bad, but their fees made everything just not worth it. They charged you a fee for everything. I mean, they even charge a fee to pay your bill online...who does that? After checking out how much money they take out of your account just for using them as a bank, it really feels like they are a huge rip off. I decided to leave wells fargo and take my business elsewhere.
What can I say about Wells Fargo Value Checking. This company is the reason I left and went to a credit union. Everything they can charge you a fee for, they will. Pay your bill online? There's a fee. Receive a statement in the mail? Another fee. Monthly fees, debit card fees, atm fees. After seeing all the ways they wanted to nickel and dime me I left that company and didn't look back.
My husband and I have an account here for about 4 years now, and I have to say that we are very happy. Usually with banks we have had in the past, something was went wrong, whether it was fees that weren't disclosed or poor customer service or slow processing time. But with this bank, everything has been very good. Recently, we fell into a rough patch during the month and one of our debit transactions made us go overdrawn. We reached out to customer service, who offered (Without us asking) to overturn the fee because they saw that we had been loyal, good customers. This is something that never would've happened with our previous banks.
I have had this checking account for quite some time now and the biggest issue that I have had was the fact that someone had stolen my information and purchased items using my money. The wonderful thing was within a weeks time they had refunded my money and I was overall surprised at how quickly it was refunded. Other than that one incident I have no other complaints. I get direct deposit so I don't have to worry about the fees that could apply. All in all I am happy with my checking account.
My wells fargo checking account is great! I can deposit checks from my smart phone, I can deposit checks and cash – multiple bills at one – at a wells fargo automated teller machine, and I never have to worry about burglars of any kind uncovering the secret stash of cash I used to keep hidden away under my mattress! I can take money out of an atm at any one of their convenient locations, I got this awesome shiny visa debit card, and I can check my balance, statement, and purchase history online!
I have never had any problems with this checking account unlike other banks. As log as I meet the required min. there are no fees. I have never had a problem with over drafting or ATM fees. I love bill pay but i wish they would make it free. Compaired to other banks there was always a monthly fee of some sort, I could not stand it. I also have a personal loan and savings account with Wells Fargo connected to this checking account and it makes everything really easy to transfer and make payments.
I've had a checking account with Wells Fargo for 8 years. They seem to be just as reliable or innovative as any other Bank. I especially like how quickly my checks, direct deposits and other deposits go. If you want to complain about that then I'd say try out Bank of the West sometime and see how slow and in stone ages they are. I've helped my parents do some banking with West. Over the years they have changed some things but mostly its the same old checking account. Exactly what I need. They also have many locations and ATM's around my state.
I have a Wells Fargo value checking account now. When I first opened my account it was an at work account or something like that. They came out to my job offering it to numerous workers for free. Well everything was OK until I noticed that I no longer had a work based checking account now they had given me a value checking account. I called wells Fargo to find out what the difference was because I noticed I didn't meet the requirements that were needed to avoid the monthly fees. My at work account didn't cost me anything as long as I had direct deposit going to my account which I had been using. This new value checking didn't take money out of my deposit and put it into savings like the previous account had and I asked wells fargo customer service about it and no one had any idea what I was talking about. If you get this account please read every detail to the account and monitor it very closely because this bank doesn't do a good job of communicating account changes to its customers if it tries to at all.
So I have been a customer with Wells Fargo (formerly, First Union and then Wachovia) for over 15 years. I have always had free checking. No strings attached. No minimum balance, no automatic deposit requirement and no requirement to use your debit card a certain amount of times during the month. This year things changed and I am now thinking of closing my account. All of the sudden, with no notice, I was being charged a monthly service fee. I know its not much for some, but with little income every dollar matters. I am very disappointing with banks in general now charging to use their services. Especially a bank I have been with for so many years.
I switched to this bank when I moved to Minnesota. I heard great things about it, but now I know that they aren't true. I signed up with the bonus program that promised 50 if I set up direct deposit. I have yet to receive that money, and it has been nearly a year. Also, the fees that are charged to use my card at ATMs are a little ridiculous. It's about 4 dollars, compared to 2 at my previous bank. The customer service is ok, but at the end of the day I wish my previous bank had branches in Minnesota because Wells Fargo is highly disappointing.
I have banked with Wells Fargo for over ten years. I recently became self employed and as a result no longer have automatic deposit from my employer. Because on this I now have to pay a fee for an account that has always been free. In addition to this, when I deposit check, there is now a 10 day hold put on them. I am thinking it may be time to switch to a small local bank or credit union...
I am pleased with this checking account. The account is kept current and the fee is very low. Most banks have higher fees and terrible customer service. I don't have any complaints with Wells Fargo and I will continue to bank with them as long as things stay this way.
Overall, my experience with Wells Fargo Checking has been a good experience. I had a situation where somebody made charges on my account that I didn’t know about. They were quick to respond. Wells Fargo sent me a new check card and took the charges off my account. I also like that I don’t need a minimum balance to keep my account current and that the monthly fee is only $7.
Overall, I've had a good experience with Wells Fargo Value Checking. I switched to Wells Fargo after moving to a location my previous bank wasn't in, and I'm glad I did. It's easy to set up your account so you can transfer money between your checking and savings accounts online, and it's easy to send money to other people. I do wish they didn't have a non-bank ATM fee of $2.50; when I forget to take money out at the bank and have to use a non-Wells Fargo ATM, I usually end up paying $6.50 or more for that option because of their added fee (on top of the ATM fee). If you plan to withdraw money abroad, you definitely should look into other options, as they charge 3% AND a $5 fee for using a foreign ATM. Overall, it's a good checking account if your needs are basic.
I have had this checking account since Wells Fargo took over Wachovia. I have rarely had issues and when I did have one, they promptly fixed my problem and credited me all fees that were charged. Any checks I deposit have been immediately available and they have many convenient locations and ATMs for me to choose from. I love the fact that I moved to a different state and region of the country and there was a location here that worked for me. I do wish there was no monthly fee, but it is reasonable and worth it to me.
Overall, I was and still am completely satisfied with this checking account in which I had over four years. I was referred by a former business associate and got some kind of discount that escapes my memory. I had switched from a Washington Mutual before it went bankrupt and I remember being glad I did. Saying that, I did have encountered a few major issues with this account, concerning fraud and miscommunication that caused me a huge headache. I've had two incidents of fraud that I recall. Somehow someone hacked into my account and charged a significant amount. Wells Fargo did take care of the problems in a timely manner and I was fully reimbursed of any fees and fraudulent charges. Concerning the miscommunication, a bank representative that I was talking to confused what I was saying and transferred money from my Wells Fargo credit card with an interest charge. I was in dire straits with money and it was the last thing I needed.
I was relatively unhappy with this account. I was promised that overdrafting from my savings account would not cost me money at all. Little did I know, it was costing me $7 a shot. Being the dumb college kid that I was, I never recognized this. I will have to say that they need to be much more clear on fees and not evasive with answers. In the end, I decided to join a credit union with smaller fees.
I have had an account with Wells Fargo for a long time. I only use this particular account to pay bills with, so I only keep the amount needed to pay those bills in this account. When they started charging for the account, I had an issue because I never keep a daily balance of $1500, and I also don't have direct deposit through my work. This was a problem because those were the requirements needed to have the account and not be charged the monthly fee. My employer will not participate in direct deposit, so I called the bank and they were very helpful in my case. Great account to have!
Wells Fargo is a great bank and has always been helpful for me. There was a time earlier this year when there were unauthorized fraudulent charges to my debit card and the company that charged it to me would not move it. I called wells fargo and explained the situation and they were more than likely to help. They reached out to the company and they still would not give me my money back. Wells Fargo immediately deactivated my card so that I would not have recurring charges to my account and they sent me a new card in the mail which I got about a week later.
Where do I start with Wells Fargo, How about they are really great and easy to do deal with. I love the fact that they are my primary bank and never have they failed me. Their customer service is amazing always showing that they care about me and not money. Every time I go to Wells Fargo I have the best experience, from their products to their staff. I love this bank and its products, overall I give Wells Fargo a 10
My husband and I opened our first joint checking and savings accounts with Wells Fargo over a year ago. They helped us set up our debit cards, online banking account and even assisted us in getting a cute photo of our Pug on each of our cards. They've been extremely helpful and we know if we spend a bit over, they have our account set up for overdraft protection which takes out of our savings. We have had 0 problems with Wells Fargo and plan to continue to use them for a long time.
I opened a second checking account with Wells Fargo. They are not my primary bank. I opened due to work. I haven't had it open for that long, but so far I have to say that I am pleased. It is always easy to find a location, or atms. I hate paying fees, so it's nice to always be able to find an atm, even in cities I'm not firmiliar with. All employees have always been nice and pleasent when I have had to go into a branch. Overall, I would say that I would recommend Wells Fargo if someone asked.
I use a few different banks in addition to Wells Fargo. When paying my credit card bill last month I accidentally clicked to pay using Wells Fargo. After realizing that I had used the wrong account, I also realized I didn't have enough money in this account to cover the charge. I called Wells Fargo, explained the situation to them and they were very helpful in allowing me to deposit funds to cover the charge so I could avoid an overdraft.
I recently switched to the Wells Fargo Value Checking Account and i must say im very pleased with it. The online features are on par with other checking accounts i have had and you can open this account with just a $50 deposit. The fees are very low and can be waived if you maintain a minimum balance or have $500 or more in direct deposits per month.
I have banked with Wells Fargo for several years and across multiple states and have always enjoyed a sense of security with them. When I forgot to update my address and had checks ordered and sent to a previous address, they were able to reissue the box of checks with minimal hassle. The same thing happened with my debit card a year ago. I primarily use online services to manage my account, and am very satisfied with how easy it is to find everything from the routing number to the account details.
I've had a checking account with Wells Fargo for many years now and I can say that it was a fantastic choice. Having direct deposit at my job has voided the monthly fee for many years and my money is always available and under trustworthy security from fraud. Overall a great experience and I would recommend Wells Fargo to people debating which bank to open a checking account with.
I haven't had too many problems with my checking account. The only thing that bothers me is the federal maximum amount of times I can transfer my money between accounts. I understand this isn't the bank's fault, but it's ridiculous that I'm restricted with what I can do with my own money. Overall, the account has been a good experience and I've been able to manage my funds how I want to.
I just switched to Wells Fargo because I moved from Hawaii to Texas and they do not have Hawaii banks in Texas. I searched up and down to see which banks offered the best checking account in regards to fees, convenience, and location. I couldn't be more happy with my selection. Wells Fargo lets you do just about anything you can think of online. You can transfer money from your other accounts with just one touch on your smartphone. I have never had a problem finding a branch as they are on just about every corner. The lady that help me set up my account was extremely nice and thanked me more than once for choosing them as my bank. So far, I love Wells Fargo!
I do not make much money so this is a nice basic checking account. It's awesome to have the second option of having $500+ direct deposits a month instead of the minimum balance. Don't expect to be making bank with interest ;) They are very good with security: after the latest breach at Target, they contacted me saying my debit card might have been affected (even though there were no fraudulent charges) so they would send me a new card with a new number. Using their ATMS is easy, I love that you don't need an envelope for deposits at most either! In Salt Lake City there are a ton of ATMs and banks around so it's never an issue getting there.
I have been a Wells Fargo customer for five years. I switched to Wells Fargo after having a problem with my previous local bank, where my debit card was stolen and I received no assistance in recovering stolen funds. I have NEVER had a problem like this with Wells Fargo. My checking account has always been secure, and the staff has been helpful every time I have called customer service or gone into a branch. They have locations everywhere, which is very convenient for travel and moving. I also LOVE their new mobile deposit system. I would recommend Wells Fargo to anyone looking to open a new checking account!
I have had wells fargo since 2003 and have had great experience with them. They are everywhere which is nice and low on fees. When I signed up there was no monthly fee I think because I was in school..it is still like that after all this time and considered a grandfather account so it will take me alot to get me to switch :) I like that they have mobile banking and I can deposit a check from my phone. I think my only problem I ever had with them was getting a bunch of overdraft fees and they would only reverse 2 out of 5. I try to manage my money a lot better now though and have overdraft protection.
I have been a member of the Wells Fargo family since 1990. I have had only positive experiences with Wells Fargo. I have lived in numerous states and have only banked with Wells Fargo, due to the fact that they treat me with respect and will bend over backwards to do anything for me. I have called them up in the middle of the night to correct problems and the person on the other end of the phone has been very helpful. If i have ever had a problem with them, they immediately corrected the problem no questions asked. They offer me amazing benefits to stay since I have been a loyal customer for so many years. Between the service on the phone and going into the different branches they are amazing people toward me. They are always there with a smile and a good day attitude. I love Wells Fargo and plan on going nowhere anytime soon.
I've had Wells Fargo for some time now. Like any bank, they're hit or miss. I lost my job recently and haven't been able to keep the minimum balance, so I could do without the $8 monthly "maintenance" fees; I'm sure maintaining my account doesn't require all that much work. Another minor thing I could do without is their overdraft policy. I overdrew recently, which was the first time with WF in the five years I've been with them. I called them to see if it could be reversed since it was my first time, I was only overdrawn by $6, and I had the $6 in the account the next day, but all they would do is waive half of the overdraft fee; not particularly great customer service. However, I've stayed with them because they're right down the street and they have ATMs everywhere(and I must admit that I'm a fan of being able to deposit checks through the ATM). Plus, a bank's a bank; unless you want to constantly hide money throughout your house, you have to use one.
I like wells fargo value checking for its efficacy and trust . It is an honor to feel peace of mind that my money is secure and just for my reaching at the end of every day. I have used other banks' checking services and are not as good as wells fargo for all the reasons stated. Whenever I reach them on the phone for any problems they are happy to help me and answer all my questions accordingly without a bad attitude.
