I paid off auto loan on March 27th. I’m waiting for Truist to release the title of car to PA Department of Transportation. I have called 5 times and have gotten different explanations of why. Truist has basically not done their job. There is no reason not to have a car title in 7 weeks time. THIS BANK IS TERRIBLE! Beware.

purchased a used car and Truist wound up being the bank I was "given" What a pain and it's only been a few months. For starters, they have traditional business hours, so if you have a problem or question there is no 24/hour help and that's so horrible for any bank. Next I accidentally made the same payment twice because their system failed to give me a confirmation and instead just redirected me to the home page. I called within 5 mins of the mistake and was told the payment, which wouldn't come out of my account for another 3 days was already processed and I would have to stop payment through my bank, which cost me $25 (but better than the 800+) then Truist charged me another $25 for the returned payment even through I was already paying up two months and it was an accidental payment. Next, I got an email stating that my payment was returned about 28 days later...for the second time prompting me to call in and press 500 buttons to speak to someone just to find out it was a mistaken email. I will be refinancing within the next 1-2 months to a bank with far better customer service and policies.

Worst bank ever. No customer service. Reps are in a different country and don't speak English. The ones in the United States are not much better. I was on the phone all morning trying to resolve a problem. Finally, after a couple of hours I reach a lady who spent about a half hour while I was on hold and found a resolution to my problem. Then I went into their location in the Arlington, Texas Highlands and paid my car off. Guess what? No restrooms for their customers - only for employees. I will never be using this bank again for anything. I thought Chase was bad but these guys are worse.

Just a heads up! I had a car loan with Truist. Went on app to automatically have my car loan took out of an checking account set up just for the car loan. Only checked on that account roughly 2 months after i got the car to make sure truist was holding the car loan out of it. Had the car roughly 7 months and it gets totaled out this month. So i go to check my account to see if truist has took my car note out of checking since the car was paid off by insurance. Not only had they took 1 payment out but additional 3 car notes was took out fot the month of March. As i scrolled throught my past statements truist had been taking 2 car notes for every month for the past 5 months witout authorization....and no i was not behind on any payments. Called them but no one could give me an answer to why they did this. One rep went as far as to say that it was a good thing cause i would pay my car loan off quicker. So just beware and check statements daily or monthly cause no one can be trusted. Needless to say will not do business with truist again.

Horrible experience. My husband passed away with a car loan in his name. I was attempting to pay the loan off and get it transferred to my name. Sent in death certificate, my letter confirming me as the executor of the estate. Finally confirmed it was on file with someone who transferred me to someone who could help. The person I was transferred to could not find the documents on file. This went on for weeks with multiple phone calls. No one would talk to me. Put on hold for hours waiting and kept being transferred to someone that could help me. No one could help me. Every other bank my husband and I had dealt with both jointly and individually, whether the account was business and personal were helpful, courteous and sympathetic. Not once did I get a sorry for your loss. I will never do business with this bank!

I had fraudulent activity in my outside checking. I informed them as soon as I found Was offered deferment. Papers were emailed, papers were sent to the incorrect email address so was declined. I found this out by contacting Truist again. Deferment papers were sent again to the correct email address, signed and accepted. Even though there were communications the payment was still listed 30 days late. Dropped my credit score almost 100 points. I have a dispute filed.

When i got my truck with a suntrust auto loan right before they merged with bb&t to form truist i thought it was fine then my grandfather who co signed on the loan passed away that august. I get a letter from the dmv in my state that in order to get my tags renewed i needed to get the title and the loan changed to where my grandfather was off of it. I called truist numerous times to try to get them to sign the paperwork from the dmv to do this was given i dont even know how many fax numbers they finally went to fill out the paperwork and added my grandfathers info back on the form and we had to send it to them again to fill out and then went 6 months with dead tags after they merged because of that and now it's been almost a month since I paid my loan off and still haven't received my title or notification that they knew I paid it off. I highly don't recommend them for auto loans they will take your money and leave you hanging if I were to have stopped paying the loan they would have come after me but when I needed a simple form filled out it was a 6 month fiasco that they had no intentions of fixing and its telling when we hit the 6 month mark and we told them on the phone that it's been going on for 6 months their first reaction was "oh" never apply for a loan from them they will screw you over.
