Chase Bank is not a five star bank some of the associates and managers are so unprofessional that it is ridiculous, They say their calls are monitored and when asked to listen to them so we can solve the problems they don't review or pull them up and they accuse you of the negligent of their employees, I have been with them for over 25 years and their has been too many mistakes on their part and not rectified it's always the customer fault, I have never been more humiliated in my entire life and both of my checks are direct deposits their a VA pension and my social security. Chase stole my money... I deposited funds into a chase ATM and the machine malfunctioned. Upon filing a claim with their claims department, they denied my claim stating that they were not able to locate the funds... even with providing video footage from their ATM and CCTV from me depositing funds into the ATM they are finding me responsible for their machine malfunction and their teams incapability of locating my funds...

Chase Bank does not accept CASH. I went to deposit cash into my sons account. Since I do not have an account- they would not accept CASH.. It was only 2000.00 Not like I was depositing 10 grand or something. I will never use Chase. I think it means Chase away potential customers.
I have no problems banking with Chase. They have a functional mobile app, online banking, mobile deposits, and deposit-friendly ATMs. Most importantly, Chase is found in most parts of the US, so there's not a problem when I'm traveling and need a fee-free Chase ATM.
I have yet to understand why people provide low ratings/reviews because Chase charged them an overdraft fee. This is the norm for ALL banks in the US. This isn't anything new. Big national banks, small local banks, and credit unions all charge various fees like this. Yes these fees can seem unfair at times, but if you make the decision to use a financial institution to hold your money, then both parties (you and the bank) are expected to the follow the agreed upon terms and conditions.
Also, just a bit of advice for the ones that do not have direct deposit and/or can't financially maintain $1500 daily balance per month to avoid Chase's $12 monthly maintenance fee, I would suggest you find a local bank or credit union that typically has a free checking account with no minimum balance. You could also try an online bank if you do not regularly deposit cash. You may lose the convenience of having a Chase ATM or branch almost on every corner, but I'm sure will save more money in the long run by getting a totally free checking with a local bank or credit union.
Overall, I hate to see people bash Chase because they can't seem to have a handle on their finances to avoid the many fees that are disclosed in writing upon opening your account, as well as publicly posted on Chase's website. This actually goes for pretty much all banks and financial institutions. Ultimately, it's all business... And yes, I have been charged overdraft fees in the past, and I also incurred those fees due to not properly tracking my finances and spending. Back on Thursday, September 8, 2016, I was out in the Long Beach area and needed to get to a bank and luckily just by using my google app, I was able to find the closest branch to where I was which was just a few short blocks away located at: 940 Long Beach Boulevard, Long Beach, California 90813-4420 (562) 951-1315.
I was received and greeted by Johana Gabriel who is a Qualified Personal Banker who took really good care of ME as her customer by sitting me down at her desk and taking my banking deposit as well as helping me to get verified for the United Airlines Mileage Plus Credit Card which operates under the Chase Bank and helping me to find out about getting my Credit Line Increase for the Chase Freedom Unlimited Card, including setting up my Chase Freedom Unlimited Card to be able to debit my checking account in order to pay the bill in full each and every month so that I am Never Late In Making A Payment.

I recently opened my chase bank account, and I must say that it was a breeze. The person who assisted me in the process was so polite and friendly. She made an effort to get to know me and some of my interest which is an obvious plus! I originally banked with Washington Mutual until they were bought by Chase. They have always been super helpful when I’ve called Customer Support or gone into my local branch. They are good about sending my checks, I bank online and it is easy to use. They have even helped me when I had a mistaken over-draft and refunded my money. Overall a very good bank, as well as checking account. There are some limitations to the amount of money that can be withdrawn within a day, but as a college student using this as a day to day checking account, I have never experienced a situation in which I need to withdraw/spend more than this limit. Overall Chase has been a great bank. I hardly need to utilize customer service, but when I do, I find it challenging that their call centers are overseas. I find the language barrier very difficult, and especially with something as serious as dealing with my accounts and my money, I want it to go as smoothly as possible.
