This bank should be close they do nothing but steel from customers!!! Reordering checks to maximize overdraft fees. All bank officers should be fired and hopefully losses billions in law suits! STAY AWAY!!!!
When making a large deposit in U S Bank please know that they will put a Hold on the majority and you will not have access to your OWN money for up to 9 days. I do not know about them, but I worked hard for the money I get and do not want to be punished for making a deposit in a "So Called BANK" . Any financial institution that thinks all of their depositors are crooks, can not be trusted with honest working peoples money. I wonder if the CEO and CFO have a hold put on their funds when they make a deposit? The PGA of America should be ashamed to have these suspicious money grabbers as a sponsor. U S Bank should not even be allowed to sponsor a Putt Putt tournament, or any sporting event. My daddy told me there were 4 people in the world you could not trust. A Doctor, A Lawyer, A Car Salesman, and anyone else who said "Trust Me", He died before he had any dealings with U S Bank or he would have added a #5…read more

Negative Experience: I had three accounts (business, savings, and checking) with a total of $4,500 with US Bank and accounts over 10 years old. They closed all three in one day with no notice and sent me a cashiers check for the balance that they charged me $7 dollars each to cash. I found out when I logged in online and noticed the changes and US bank will not tell me why the closed the accounts. They are charging me $30 dollar overdraft fee b/c I used the card and did not know they had canceled my account. They turned this 'overdraft fee' over to a collection agency 4 days after closing my accounts without even telling me this had occurred. How can you fix a problem you don't even know about? Worst bank ever and you should go somewhere else!…read more
Just walked in and tried to ask, I believe her name was Danielle, behind the counter if they were open. She looked up from texting on her personal phone and shushed me. So rude. After she was done texting on her phone, she had an attitude with me. All I wanted to do was deposit a check. It's people like this that have killed customer service. Terrible.
I've been banking with them for over 10 years and it is always a hassle! I make good money and my credit score is above average, althoug when I deposit a large check they always put it on hold, as if I was a dishonest person or not trustworthy, shame on them! They have zero criteria!
Absolute worse banking experience I have had. I have multiple accounts with other banks and being an entrepreneur it is good to have a few accounts for multiple reasons. I have had nothing but problems when using my cards and business cards with this bank. For my personal account I will order something online or make a purchase and the bank will deem it "fraudulent" and put a freeze on my card. The problem is their customer service and lack of controls in place. I have been a customer with them for more than 11 years since they changed from StarOne Bank and they just continue to get worse. I often don't realize my card is frozen until my wife and I try to use the account again, in which we can't because we have to call in to verify that we attempted to make purchases or made purchases days prior. This institution is going into the toilet and I am proud to say that I have some personal accounts with the local credit union and Huntington Bank, Huntington, though I have had my account with them a little over a year I have slowly begun transitioning my business to that bank. Soon I will have no business or funds going through US Bank, they lack intelligent employees whom can't do their jobs, their customer service is horrendous, and they attempt to control when and where you can make purchases(free country?). It's good to have parameters for fraud activity, but how can I approve transactions with the bank more than 20+ times for ordering and things and it still be fraud? Why do I have to find out my card is denied trying to make purchases for my business and then have to call in to get it resolved? Shouldn't the fraud prevention team suspect fraud and be proactive to notify the customer? Apparently not.…read more
I am so pleased with this checking account! After having difficulty obtaining a checking account, I was approved by US Bank. Two months ago I had insufficient funds in my account to pay my account fee. I was contacted by US Bank by phone, who left a voice mail alerting me to the problem, but was unable to get to a branch to make a deposit until the next day. When I applied for the account, I opted not to carry overdraft protection, but I was virtually certain I would have to pay some sort of penalty. To my surprise and delight, US Bank charged no additional fee, just the remaining balance of the account fee which I owed. Thank you, US Bank!…read more
This is a decent checking account. The cons for this type of account through U.S. Bank is that the interest is only 2%. So, unless you have a lot of money in your account on a regular basis, you're not going to make much money. But, that's true with most any checking account. The good thing about this account is that upon opening the account (because we've been customers for along time... we have another account with them), they offered to wave the $10.95 monthly fee. We thought that was kind and were thankful!…read more
I didn't really know a lot about U.S. Bank until I bought a new vehicle. The car lot suggested that I use this bank over the bank I was with due to better interest rates. I was so impressed I moved my checking and savings accounts over to U.S. Bank. The staff is very friendly. The branch that I am with is small. They know me by name and greet me when I walk in. I have access to my account 24 hours a day online. I also have a phone app that I can use. There are lots of ATMs around that I can use. I have never had a problem with this bank.…read more
