Terrible customer service. Everyone kept passing the buck. I deposited a check for a deposit. It was a local check. It was a small amount and they put a hold on the check for 5-7 days without telling me. I know from years of working at a bank a notification has to be made. I am still trying to get hold off so my rent check will be paid. It shows online that there was plenty of money days before the rent check was to go through. I was in the hospital and had a family member who was helping me with my account being over drafted. I was told I had to leave the hospital to go to the bank and deposit. I will never recommend this bank to anyone. Not even someone I hated

I have banked with numerous banks in my lifetime and worked for one for 6 years. This bank is by far the worst bank when it comes to customer service, common courtesy and customer relationships. I was in a car accident a year ago and finally received my settlement proceeds from my lawyer. I went and deposited the check in a joint account I had with my husband at US Bank. I was told because of the amount, they would need to put a hold on the check for 7 days. I was fine with this as I understood the policies and procedures that comes with check deposits. A couple of days later, I found my debit card wasn’t working and my husband realized his wasn’t either. When he called, he was told that the fraud department speculated that the check was fraud and that they were closing down all of our accounts. They did absolutely nothing to try and verify the check (which is legit.) They didn’t bother calling the bank the check was drawn on OR my lawyer to ensure that he did in fact issue this check to me. Instead, they took it upon themself to just speculate that the check was fraud and close down the accounts due to speculation, rather then verifying anything. On top of that, we weren’t notified of any of this. They were just going to close down the accounts and send us a cashier check in the mail. Because the accounts are frozen and in the process of being closed, my husband was unable to receive his direct deposit from his work, our mortgage and insurance bills have bounced and we have no access to any of our hard earned money until this is dealt with. Ahh No...bank anywhere but.US bank .they use whats called an extended overdraft fee.$25 and they'll hit ya with this every week untill the account is current .ohh sure they'll waive any fees ONCE A FREAKN YEAR
I really can't stand this bank, I switched from Logix and I am going back - US Bank is the worst bank to have. When you log into your account it will show you your current account balance (based on the pending transactions) the next day when you log in those pending transactions have been processed and now negative in the account. I don't get it. I have NEVER had this issue with Logix. Everything went through that same day not days and days of 'PENDING TRANSACTIONS" they tell you they are processed everyday at 6PM, thats BS!!…read more
This bank should be close they do nothing but steel from customers!!! Reordering checks to maximize overdraft fees. All bank officers should be fired and hopefully losses billions in law suits! STAY AWAY!!!!
When making a large deposit in U S Bank please know that they will put a Hold on the majority and you will not have access to your OWN money for up to 9 days. I do not know about them, but I worked hard for the money I get and do not want to be punished for making a deposit in a "So Called BANK" . Any financial institution that thinks all of their depositors are crooks, can not be trusted with honest working peoples money. I wonder if the CEO and CFO have a hold put on their funds when they make a deposit? The PGA of America should be ashamed to have these suspicious money grabbers as a sponsor. you have to cash the check, and then make the deposit. I am dealing with that now, I can't stand this bank. I made a deposit on Saturday, still hasn't gone through.. When i log into my account it shows my account balance based on the pending transactions, the next day i go in, all of those pending transactions have gone through and now I am negative, and charged me $36.00 (6 times). They were not helpful on the line. When you call into their call center it sounds like we inconveniencing them by calling. Like they are in the middle of something and we are bothering them.
I had logix previous to this, and I NEVER had this issue, things weren't pending for days.. Everything was processed that same day. I am closing this account.. They don't even deserve a 1 star…read more
I hate us bank so much. It takes too long for my money to be sent to my significant other. I wish i had chase. I love the quick pay rogram they have. There costumer service. Other thing is checks are so expencive in us bank and other thing i dont like is that us bank dont have a lot of diferent logos for the debit or credit cards. The same logos get old. The easiest way is for your parent to transfer the money from his/her account to your account. Also, he/she can visit a U.S. Bank branch and deposit the money into your account as long as you provide the account’s number.
