I use Bank of Colorado in Thorton for many of my banking needs. The management and staff are very professional, friendly, and considerate. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a reliable banking partner who values customer experience!

My husband and I have been customers for almost 20 years. We have 3 accounts, one a business account, and have run thousands of dollars through the bank and have had loans. We chose the bank, and have been willing to live with the the few branches and limited services, because they have always been accommodating and had a personal touch to customer service. Well, no more. I very rarely have an issue and need assistance, but the last few times I've reached out, they treat me like any big bank would. They aren't convenient enough for me to put up with that. I have a Discover checking account, and have gotten better customer service lately. I am thinking we'll close all our accounts and move to a bank that offers more perks and convenience. I guess it's just the age we're in. We will keep a local credit union for the customer service and a big bank for the convenience. Bank of Colorado is neither.

Bank of Colorado needs to come out of the dark ages and develop actual customer service and reliable on-line banking. I have tried to set up Zelle with them and it's a disaster. Every time I request a payment they put me on automatic hold which defeats the whole purpose. They then email me the 800 number to "immediately" call to have the hold removed. That 800number goes to Bill Pay Support who, of course, can do absolutely nothing about holds on the account because they're not actually part of the bank. They send you on to Zelle, who says they also can do nothing about holds because it's the bank itself that places the hold and must remove it. So I have to wait for banking hours tomorrow and then call a different number than the one the bank provided in order to try to get someone to once again release the hold. Unbelievable!

Worse banking experience on my life. If you call the bank for answers they transfer you to someone else. If you call after hours for service they tell you that you need to call your branch. I have been trying to solve a problem for over a week so far. Holy shit they need to figure it out over there. In the process of changing banks because of this.

I have had an account here for years. It used to feel like a hometown bank but slowly it has become more like a "big" bank experience without all the benefits of a "big" bank. The first strike came when I made an appointment to speak to a loan officer about a loan. I showed up on time for the appointment and the loan officer was a no show. The bank staff were mortified appropriately but the loan officer never called to apologize or make a new appointment. Strike two was when a family member who had funds at the bank died. It took 90 days to get all the paperwork needed to close out the account. I made formal contact with the bank and let them know that the accounts would be closed and explained the documents we were waiting for. When we had all the paperwork and went to close the account Bank of Colorado attempted to charge fees for (wait for it) not using the account for the last 90 days. I kept going up the chain of command until I finally got a manager to waive the significant fees. Strike three occurred recently. I have maintained two accounts at the bank because I had already gone through the steps to have two family members added to the account. If you haven't done this before, it is a bit of a hassle when everyone lives in different states to get a joint account set up. Because of the inconvenience of setting up a new account I left the account set up. However, this summer I noticed that I was being charged for not using my account. I called the bank and the person I talked to was rude and made the experience irritating. The next month when I was in Colorado Springs I stopped by the branch and the lady helping me close out one of my accounts asked me why I was closing it so I explained the situation. To her credit, she tried to be polite and problem solve. She also told me that I didn't have to come in, that all I needed to do was call in and they could have helped me. Then I told her I did call and she was pretty quiet. Strike three. I have a court ordered payment that comes into my account every month and once that payment is done (this May 2020) I am taking my business across the street to Chase.

I agree...feeling the same way. I'm moving to credit union for customer service and big bank for convenience...I actually have a Discover checking that has been more customer service friendly than this bank.

Take your business elsewhere. Their customer service is non existent, they hire people who have no idea how to do their job and their technologies are sub-par. You will be better served at Wells Fargo across the street. Your balances will never be up-to-date in the app and you have to wait all weekend for things to post. They render your money inaccessible.
After having a dispute with a deceitful merchant, Bank of Colorado does not stand behind its customers. Ivan Esteves, a teller continued to email me wrong information, did not understand how to simply process a chargeback and had absolutely zero people skills. I trusted my hard earned money with this institution to find that they do not defend consumers against fraud . They will put temporary funds into your account and pull them back out with no notice.
This bank is a joke, just take a look at their BBB profile.

I've been a satisfied Bank of Colorado customer for quite a while now. Two years ago, I signed up for a free checking account that has no monthly fees and no minimum balance. At the time it sounded too good to be true. In fact, at first I didn't even believe it. However, it did turn out to be one hundred percent true. In addition, the customer service is always friendly and they really seem to treat everyone with respect.
Many people are suffering economic hardships and the last thing that you need is a bank taking your hard earned money through fees. I would highly recommend this bank.
