No Checking Accounts Available from Capital Bank
If you are an authorized representative of Capital Bank, please contact us to have your products included.
Experience with Capital Bank was extremely negative. I open an account and deposit checks totaling $14,000 and was told the check amounts would be available the next day buy a teller at the same bank When I notified the bank that I had depended on withdrawing money from them two paychecks I had written on another bank based on the tellers notification that my phone's would be available the next day. The funds were not available the next day they were being held. I contacted the branch manager and trying to convince them to credit my account based on the tellers version but they refused, we're very unprofessional, and gave me no help at all. They claim their tellers had not told me anything. So the next Monday I try to close my account and withdraw my money and again they refuse to do this because my accounts had not clear the checks. I call the authorities and they said I should go in person to the bank but when I offered to do this the branch manager told me she would have the police there. So I contacted the authorities again and my lawyer who said I had a perfect right to go to the bank in person if I wanted to. I apprised the bank manager of this and then she accused me of harassing her employees as excuse for threatening to have the police there when in fact I had not even talk to any of her employees except to get in touch with her which is very difficult to do. I called corporate and they were very hesitant to give me any information about upper supervisors or how I can get help with this issue. They found a complaint for me but I've never heard anything in response. So I'm going to bounce checks because this Bank made an error and telling me my funds would be available and my efforts to withdraw from the bank and obtain my funds have been met with accusals of harassment and threats to call the police. I've also written the president of the bank about these threats and gross misrepresentation of fact and ask him if it's a standard policy that branch manager threatened to call the police if you plan to go and talk to them about your account. So if I were you I would be extremely leery about ever becoming involved the Capital Bank.…show more
