Worst bank to deal with. I do business with a lot of financial institutions, and these guys are the hardest to work with hands down! Every time I attempt to make a deposit for a client they change the procedure. It's like they don't want money in people's accounts so I suggest banking anywhere else!
I currently use CapEd for all my banking needs, since moving back to Idaho. So far I've had great experiences. I have the high yield checking account, savings account, and an auto loan. Overall, customer service is quick and thorough. I love the high yield checking account, which puts about $15 back in my pocket each month for that interest. My auto loan rate is very low and making payments is very easy. My only complaint is that I have to fill out a form if I plan to travel out of state and use my debit card. Supposedly, this is for "security", but I feel like it kind of invades my privacy. That is a process that could definitely be improved upon.…show more
I transferred all my account over to Capital Educator after being fed with with the ridiculous fees associated with the big banks. It was a no hassle application with no account maintenance fees and I even earn rewards when using my ATM card. Great customer service, very friendly staff at any of the locations!
I started banking with CapEd because, as a teacher, I really appreciated the grants that they give out every month to teachers. Their interest rates are unbeatable. When I was withdrawing money from Chase to put into CapEd, the manager tried to persuade me to stay. When I showed her the interest rates sheet from CapEd, she looked at it and said, “Yeah, I would probably switch too.” Also they have free popcorn at my local branch which is a nice touch.
One downside is that the member identification card they give you is slightly bigger than a standard business card, so it probably won't fit in your wallet. That is my only complaint about the bank though. If you can get over that minor inconvenience, I would highly recommend this credit union.…show more
