Chase Bank is not a five star bank some of the associates and managers are so unprofessional that it is ridiculous, They say their calls are monitored and when asked to listen to them so we can solve the problems they don't review or pull them up and they accuse you of the negligent of their employees, I have been with them for over 25 years and their has been too many mistakes on their part and not rectified it's always the customer fault, I have never been more humiliated in my entire life and both of my checks are direct deposits their a VA pension and my social security. I think I will write our Congress about this issue and I won't stop until it has been heard and resolved!
I've been a Chase customer for years now, with credit and more recently, checking account. I like their wide availability and the functionality of the mobile app. I rarely end up at a Chase branch for anything. The terms are clear and I haven't really had a problem with them.
I've had an account with chase for over 11 years and I'm finally fed up with them and closing it. They've started charging overdraft fees out of nowhere. If an overdraft occurs on your account but you head to the ATM and pay it before a fee occurs, youve satisfied that balance right? Wrong! According to chase representatives their system takes time to update and even though the account has a positive balance, they still overdraft for a $35 fee and it's not a one time fee it's a reoccurring fee. Yes you get charged daily!!! For the same charge. I'm switching! Chase is flat out stealing from their customers and the representatives are clueless as to how to solve the problem they just keep reading whatever script they rehearsed at the time of training for hire to deal with you and its annoying and frustrating. The best bank to go to HANDS DOWN is BANK OF AMERICA I've had an account with them about the same amount of time as chase and have NEVER had a problem. When they were talking on the news about Banks profiting off of charging customers ridiculous overdraft fees believe me you they were talking about JP Morgan SPECIFICALLY. From someone with experience take my advice bypass Chase Bank. The "bonus" they claim to give you when you sign up will be taken back through fees. Also think about it, why would a great bank need a gimmick like "we'll give you $200 to sign up"?
My mother and I opened a chase bank account of which I was her POA (power of attorney) on the account. My mom had stage 4 cancer and was very weak. I was getting things and doing things for mom to make her comfortable. The following month she receives her debt card. Unbeknownst to us I could not use the debt card. I found out when i went into the branch and was told the account was frozen. The nightmare begins with Robert and Michael from Chase fraud department they claim they would do an investigation and release the hold several times and weeks after I pleaded with them to release the hold at that point my mom had already drew up a trust leaving her granddaughter her assets because they didn't release the hold I was not able to transfer the funds. Now her children including myself will divide the funds. Her sole beneficiary will not receive anything. All of this while grieving your loved one. Chase bank is a heartless institution. I would never recommend them to anyone. CA- nyc More
I went into the Chase bank in Green Valley, AZ to set up an account. I wanted to setup my account and a linked account for my son. There were no people in the bank and several employees doing absolutely nothing yet I was told that they only had time to set up one account. On top of that they were rude about the whole situation.
Did the online deposit with checks. Even a payroll check. Sometimes it works in 2 days sometimes it takes two weeks. In the meantime they pay the auto pay but charge you 35$ for over draft even if it shows you have the money in the account but because they sit on it for two weeks you get screwed. Never have deposited a bad check and you would think they would treat customers better. And yet I'm a dummy cause I stay loyal to them. Find a bank that will treat you right
Chase Bank has removed all Tellers ( traditional tellers they say), and replaced with Teller Advisers. There is no cash access for the Tellers, just there to guide you through their new Boutique Design, Data Center Bullshenter. Check out my real life experience: Unknown to me, my Debit card chip is malfunctioning. Also unknown to me is Chase sees the malfunction and it triggers a fraud review, placing a hold on my account. The hold goes into effect Saturday morning with no text or e-mail advisory to myself. Essentially the weekend is a loss. I find out about the hold when I actually call CHASE at the ATM in their local office, now a teller-less autobot, too large for the space they rent, indoor volleyball court. now I am in the know that my card has been placed on fraud review hold and it will be removed and good to use almost immediately. NEXT DAY.....Card is no good because chip is the real problem. Monday, I show up at Data Center Bullshenter...they cannot issue any cash because the castrated Tellers have no access to something like cash. I am told to walk 1/2 mile to the next CHASE location where they can help me. with a vacation three days away and the need to have a replacement card and cash for the weekend......off for a long walk in the rain I went. New location was able to issue me cash, order me a new card, apologize for the useless Bullshenter 500 feet from my house. Finally, if I would do everything on my phone, never-mind I presently do all of my banking on line, but not good enough, they insist on phone apps, which I choose NOT for personal security reasons. The Bullshenter would help only if I went phone app. Here come the robots folks....RUN!!! Number one goal upon return from vacation......NEW BANK!!!
Absolutely HORRIBLE bank! I was given a $1,000 check from my Mother and took it to her CHASE bank to cash. Since I do not have an account at the bank, they told me that there would be an $8 charge. That is ridiculous in itself, but then the teller comes back to tell me that they can't cash the check. My mother has over $40,000 in the account, yet they wouldn't cash the check for "her protection." What a bunch of BS. She called the bank and regional manager, and all they said was "well, he can deposit it at his own bank". Needless to say, that would result in a 5-business day hold, so that isn't the best option! What the hell good is CHASE BANK if they wont cash a $1,000 check?? Absolutely pathetic. You can bet that I WILL NEVER have an account at Chase. You can also guarantee that I will tell people about this asinine policy for a long time coming. What a worthless business.
