Worst bank I have ever encountered in my entire life. If I could give this back 0 stars I would, let’s just start there!! This bank will drown you overdraft fees, their over-draft policy is horrible. If you are a single mom like me that works full time and want a bank by your side and that will work with you w great customer service then I suggest you find another bank. So, I overdraft my account and literally put the amount I overdrawn back into my account in under 30 mins. They still charged me 37$ THREE times and when I called they were not sympathetic at all. I explained that one of the transactions was not me, that was actually settled with Amazon and they saw that bc Amazon actually put the money back into my account. Guess, what they still charged me the overdraft fee for Amazon even tho they saw that Amazon refunded me the money bc it was not me who made the transaction. I have paid almost 1,000 in overdraft fees missing around with this bank and I have only been with them a year

Crooks! I’ve had accounts with 5/3 for over 12 years. Used to love it. They are very deceptive and scam you really bad. Rip off report. Do not trust them with anything. Go to a Credit Union. Charged me a $111 Overdraft fee for a double payment they failed to help me with. $111 Overdraft fee! Spent hours on the phone to get or refunded. Told me they would 2 times and never did. If you read this I saved you from a huge mistake

All banks suck but this one sucks +. Constantly screw up Zelle payments, hold the money 24 hours and tell you to do it again. Then you have to talk to someone from India that knows nothing and can do nothing! I hate this bank!

At first I liked my bank..NOT anymore!!! At first I had trouble getting a credit card from my bank..then I finally got 1 ..then during covid they lowered my credit limit and that lowered my credit score ? shouldn't my bank be helpful not hurtful during these trying times? They also did notify me that my account was being overdrawn ( not by me )!!? More than what I make per month!! How does that happen..Shouldn't they have thought that was suspicious? So I am no longer a fan of this bank and will be changing banks soon!!

The worst bank I have ever had. They have the most insane overdraft policy, and an app that will not accurately display information. Customer service is only there to tell you they won’t/can’t help you. Do yourself a favor and bank with chase or really any other bank.

We have been a member since 1997 with no issues. My only complaint is I wish they updated their online website in real-time instead of days.

Someone I believe I know was able to steal funds from my account while I was in and out of the hospital. Apparently they had my card and my pin and did some withdrawals as well. As a result, I am fighting for my money back. To get the ATM withdrawals, I need an affidavit and account listing for the sheriff.... So far they have done nothing to help me on this. I thought they might be a good consumer bank considering they sucked as a corporate bank while I was Senior Revenue Accountant. My company and I voted to go elsewhere. Either way.....they are not helping at a time of need. I give them an F. They need to step it up if they want to help their customers. I could cite more, but tired of writing about this. My recommendation is go to PNC, BofA or Chase.

Please avoid this bank!! They have no idea what customer service is and in my opinion they are totally unethical. Greg D. Carmichael, President and CEO, Ebony Robinson, Office of the President and the Branch Manager of the Brooklyn Heights branch have all ignored our letters, faxes and telephone calls. They do not return calls nor do they respond to our needs. We moved to California two years ago and have tried multiple ways to close my wife's checking account. We never used it once since our move. All they did was charge monthly service fees and ignored our requests for closure. Shame on Greg Carmichael, shame on Ebony Robinson and shame on the branch manager for taking our money and ignoring our requests for closure. If we cannot trust Fifth Third Bank with a few thousand dollars in a checking account, how can ANYONE trust Fifth Third Bank for any type of consumer or commercial banking. DO NOT TRUST FIFTH THIRD BANK.

This bank use to be good to me. Now I get fraud charges right and left on the weekend because scammers know the have no fraud protection on the weekends. The money gets taken out of my account and I cannot dispute until they clear, this is the worst banking practice! Instead of spending the money to have weekend fraud support they lost a customer for life. Imagine thinking having a window of no fraud support AT A BANK was a good business decision! Time to find a new bank and leave 53 in the dust forever!

The bank will likely not accept the transfer from the IRS since your name isn't on the account. Your bank will likely reject it, send it back to the IRS and they will mail you a check. I work for a tax company and have seen it happen a lot. Hopefully it doesn't happen to you. Many banks will not accept tax returns unless the names match. Too much identity theft happens that way.
