I'm always having issues with the mobile app. On top of that they don't open until 10. I can't use mobile deposit until after 90 days of having my account. My other bank is better than this. I'm closing out my account today.
Worst bank in America please don’t waste your time coming here they bribe you in then scam your money with hidden fees they will never tell you about. The on-site workers are not fully trained and nobody cares! I wish I could vote -0 stars!!
I have had my account with this bank for well over 6 years. I am very careful to never overdraw my checking account and have only had it happen on this account once. My husband and I had a failure in communicating and the account was overdrawn by $1. At other bank I have used that would have turned into a $60 or more problem. With First National Bank Texas the teller was able and willing to kindly forgive the overdraw and allow me to deposit money so nothing else would bounce. I am a satisfied banking customer.
I have been banking with First National for two years now. The application and account opening process was very simple and quick. As far as a checking account goes, it offers the minimum of what it needs to be. But that works just fine for me! The added incentive for direct deposit was also nice. Their staff is always very nice and helpful. There was one incident I had with this bank when they shorted me on a deposit by $20. However, when I went in to resolve it, they did so quick and effectively. I plan on staying with this bank for awhile.
I banked with 1st Convenience Bank (First National Bank of Texas) for about 7 years. The checking was free, and it was convenient, but those are the only good things about this bank. Teller friendliness and competence was always mediocre at best, and there was always a slow-moving line here. I always kept a good balance there and was never a pain to them, begging for overdraft fee refunds like I witnessed other customers doing many times while I was standing in line. Still, they weren't very friendly. I slowly became annoyed with them. I decided to switch banks when I deposited a small check ($20) there and had the receipt to prove it. However, they never deposited the check to my account and later admitted that they simply lost the check, and couldn't do anything about it. They said that the person that wrote me the check would simply have to write another. I found this unacceptable, so I closed my account there and moved to a local credit union that I am very happy with.
I have been a customer of First National Bank of Texas for almost 7 years. I am very happy with the customer service I have received on the rare occasion that I visit my branch as most of my banking is done online. A few years ago someone used my debit card number to purchase products over the internet. I immediately contacted the bank and they were very efficient dealing with this issue. My card was cancelled and a new one arrived in a few days. This was a huge relief and I was glad that I was a customer of First National Bank of Texas. Another thing that I would like to mention is that the banking hours and different locations are very convenient.
I signed up for a checking account with First National Bank Texas six months ago. They had a special deal where I only needed to deposit $1 to open an account. I was new to Texas so I figured this bank was as good as any other at the time. The customer service phone reps were absolutely terrible! They all gave me a different answer and one even told me she didn't know the answer to my question about the bank she works for! I couldn't believe the incompetency of these people. $50 was taken from my account fraudulently. I was told it would be credited to my account in three days which, needless to say, never happened. I called over 7 times to check on the status of it and EVERY single rep told me I had to go to the bank to sign a form to get my credit. I went to the bank in person and they told me they had never heard of the form. I never got my money back after a month. I talked to a supervisor who told me my claim had been denied and that she didn't know why thee reps were telling me I would be credited. This bank lacks organization, professionalism and decent customer service.
