I've been a member of GFA Federal Credit Union for a year now and I really love doing my banking business there! They have convenient branch locations relative to where I live, and even more convenient ATMs. Also, their website is very well designed and easy for a computer novice like me to navigate. I like the online bill pay system, and the daily email alerts help me keep better track of my balance and spending habits than any method I'd used before. We decided to start banking GFA recently because we didn't like the over-abundance of fees that Bank of America was forcing on us each month. You can use GFA ATM cards anywhere and they don't charge you for it - BoA was totally different and would put charges on our statements at the very thought of using an out-of-network ATM. We got a much better rate on a line of credit on our home loan than BoA was offering as well. They just seem much easier to deal with for regular banking stuff, too. We had two accounts for a while (one with BoA and one with GFA), but we recently decided to give BoA the boot and just have one account with GFA.
