Horrible. Kept saying things and the opposite happens. Promised account to be unlocked and have access to funds by 8-5 checked and still no access. Comes to find out that the account is being forced closed. Do not bank with these people. They even bounced my pay even though they said it would be available to withdraw the next day.

I am reviewing the Online Banking (wasn't an option in the dropdown menu) of Huntington Bank. In a word, "SUX".
When you check your account balances and transactions online, you should be getting accurate info. Not with Huntington Bank's website. Every day, when you log into it, your transactions have been shifted around and your balance changes constantly as well. When they move the transactions around, the date changes as well, so if you want to know (be reminded) what day you paid a certain bill or something, don't count on the website to tell you. For example, you make a purchase on 7/4/22, but the website lists the transaction as 7/14/22, then the next day, you check and it says it was made on 7/18/22.
You cannot rely on the HB online banking to help you manage your finances because it doesn't act like an online banking system should act. It's one thing if the bank juggles your transactions around, but when you click on "info" it should tell you the correct transaction dates, etc.
I will say that other than the online banking service, I have no other negative issues with them. However, I can only give them 2 stars because the majority of my relationship with the bank is online and the website is severely lacking.

I’ve been with Huntington for about 4 years and I think I’ve just about had it with them. Today I found out that they suspended my card for no reason and I also come to find out that I’m in the negatives because of their duplicate transactions. They doubled 3 of my payments. All this because of an outage caused by HEAT! Very upset…

money has disappeared from my account at least 5 times within the past two months. Shady activity, I started using them in 2016, and all of a sudden it seems like they went downhill

I’ve had Huntington for 5+ years and never had any issues with them until they bought out another bank or got bought out by another bank. Until a few months ago someone hacked into my personal bank account (not my joint) and we cancelled my card (so I thought) so I cut it up and threw it away cuz their was no reason for me to have it anymore. They were suposse to close my account, they said it would or could take up to 30 days so they put a block on the account so no incoming or outgoing transactions could be made(so I thought). This was back in March, well here we are in may and they took $412 out of my joint bank account for a “involuntary offset” so I called to see what it was about and they said that the account that was suposse to be closed was negative and that they took money out of our joint account to make it positive without our knowledge or agreement to do so. I didn’t leave that account negative, there was a withdrawal of $320 the day after I called in to close the account and to cancel my card. Come to find out, my card wasn’t cancelled and the account wasn’t closed, whoever hacked it was still doing stuff with the bank account and they basically said “sucks too suck it wasn’t closed so u aren’t getting ur money back” somehow these transactions were done with that card that I cut up tho, none of it makes any sense. So, we’re transferring banks because it is absolutely ridiculous that they’re refusing to give me my money back. Not to mention, how do they just take $400+ out of ur account without ur consent and get away with it and refuse to give it back!? They said they have corporate looking into it, I got a call from some guy the day after they did the involuntary offset saying he wanted to update me on my call the previous day and I emailed him and called him multiple times, still haven’t heard from him and it’s been over a week now. I’ll never recommend a bank that involuntarily takes money out of your account and refuses to give it back, I’ll NEVER recommend a bank who doesn’t close ur account when asked, who doesn’t cancel a card when asked when all of this had to do with fraud. I told them any transaction made after March 23rd WASNT me. I didn’t even know what the transactions were or where they came from, I don’t even go to the bank that they withdrew the money from on March 24th! But, they just said “sorry we can’t do anything” I replied “so I’m out of $412 because of fraud because u guys aren’t closing the account when I’m asking you too?” She goes “yeah unfortunately “. That is MY money that IVE worked hard for, so the fact that the bank can just take it without consent, agreement, not even a phone call to let me know what’s going on, nothing! That is very very very not business like!

I have been with this bank for over 3 years now. For the most part I have been very satisfied with their services. However recently I called about a company that has used my debit card to withdraw funds I had not authorized. I made the mistake telling them that the phone number on the transaction was associated with a scam listed on the internet. They told me to cancelled my debit card and request a new one. So i did...however I learned later that by doing that you will have to wait till the bank investigates this company and you will not get your money back for at least 10 days. I am on a fixed income and I need every penny I have in my account. So now these scammers get to keep my money for 10 days and I go without. How can you justify this??? In the past I have told them I did not authorize this amount taken from my account and it would be refunded. If you want your money back DO NOT TELL THEM IT COULD BE A SCAM!!!

Horrible business. They "helped" a person who gets disability for a mental health reason open an account and failed to tell them that their first couple payments will stay penfing for a few days. Now this person is screwed with no money. They should be ashamed of themselves. Is it possible to give negative stars?

My bank of many years, TCF, was bought by Huntington. Since then, I have had nothing but problems. Long waits for poor customer service. Extra charges for what TCF provided for free. Electronic bill play is useless for most payees. Worst of all, I needed a copy of a bank statement from 2018 to close a business deal. Went on line and there are no statements available from before the merger. I called the number they gave go to get older statements and spoke to Maura. She was very nice but explained that the statement I needed was missing as well as another. She had earlier statements and later ones but not February or March of 2018. She did imply that possibly all TCF customer accounts from 2018 could have statement floating around in cyber space. I became concerned and asked to speak to a manager. Spoke to Alex who treated me like a piece of garbage. He stated most people don’t need statements from that long ago. He stated that they had to move millions of files and it’s usual to be missing a few. He stated that the missing statements were safe as well as our personal info on them. He ended by stating they would research the problem, locate the files, and send me a copy in 4 to 5 business days. (I told my wife not to hold her breath waiting as I already have learned that we will need to call multiple times to fix any problems that arise at Huntington). I asked Alex to please repeat what statement he would locate and send to me and he responded by stating “Don’t you remember what you need?” He then repeated what I was needing. Terrible bank that takes advantage of its customers and has allowed customers confidential information to be lost somewhere on the internet for anyone to use.
