Well when I first open the account everything was going well. Now as of the past six months every check i put into my account always gets a hold form one day to about 7 days usless its a check from another acount holder with keybank. Ive been depositing the same check every single week and yet it get a hold. The moblie app is a pile of garbage. Everytime you make a mobile deposit you get an automatic hold on every last mobile deposit. It tells you that it might butEVERY LAST TIME IVE USE THE APP 3-4 DAY HOLD. EVEN PAYROLL. I have a hassle free account that got fees made from the bank itself. Its nerve racking when you work hard for your money and yet you cant use it because they for some reason have to hold you money. FUCK up all your plans because this bank is a big pile of shit. I made a mobile deposit at six am on friday( payroll Check) and now they tell me i my payroll check has a hold for 4 days. I go inside to deposit my check and as long as its before 5pm ill get it the next day but if i go in to deposit my payroll check after 5 on a friday i dont get it till monday. What kind of bank is this always putting hold on the hard earned money i make. I used to send peopler for accounts at keybank BUT I tell you what i am NEVER RECOMMENDING KEYBANK FOR A PLACE TO PUT YOUR MONEY AND ILL TELL THEM FROM EXPERIENCES THAT IVE BEEN RECEIVING.
I am so glad that I read these reviews before opening an account with them. I was just about to do it because they have a $200 new account bonus. Again I'm so glad I read these reviews.I will stick with Chase, so far they have been absolutely great.When there is a problem they fix it right away.
Enough is enough!!! KeyBank has no protection nor do they care about there customers. I’ve been banking with this company for over 7 years and it’s so easy for anyone and any business to charge my account without my permission. Customer service reps are misleading and several supervisors makes poor judgements in previous issues I’ve had with this bank. To be truthful and transparent with the customer does not exist with this company!!! Do not bank with this company. Their employees are trained to robb and mislead there customers. It is frustrating dealing with this bank. If you go to the main branch for questions they tell you to call the 800# then the 800# tells you to go into the main branch. It is impossible to get help or answers from anyone. They really are not that friendly and I have yet to figure out why there is a branch open here because all they do is take deposits and sit around being rude. I wouldn’t recommend this bank to anyone. Worse experiences ever.
I rarely review banks because most banks have similar policies and operate the same way but KeyBank has been especially irresponsible and poor with their customer service so I decide to write a review. I opened up a money market account due to a promotion and deposited a large amount in order to qualify on the day of the deadline. There was no problem on the end of my other bank which the funds were coming from but KeyBank took forever receive and process the deposit and finally when all the verification was done on their part the deposit went through 9 days later. I waited the 3 months to see if the promotion went through and it did not. I contacted both the local bank and customer service portal on the main website and they said I didn't deposit within the frame of the promotion so I don't qualify. I deposited the money but because KeyBank was delayed in processing it, I'm the one penalized for it. Obviously, I was upset because I could have invested my large amount with another institution and now they say they wont give me the promotion bonus so I'm stuck with this account with no big benefit at all. When I stated that I would close all my other accounts with KeyBank due to this disservice, the branch said they might be able to make an exception and will follow up but they never did. I emailed them a couple of times but went ignored. The customer portal on main website also refused to help and said someone from executive office would call and no one ever did. This is no way to do business and is a terrible bank. Would not recommend to anyone. Waste of my time and investment.
Worst bank ever! Customer service sucks they're very rude,talks over customers, they yell they really dont care about anything you have to say and I stutter and she was getting impatient with me they really are the worst bank! I only gave a 1 because they needed it but if it was up to me I'd give them 2 toes and 2 thumbs all the way down....
Worst bank ever. Deposited a check and it was cleared through the bank it came from and they still kept the hold. My husband and I are finding another bank. They hold paychecks for 2 business days even when there is enough money to cover the check in the account. This bank needs closed. Tellers are rude.
ATM machine did not give the $500 I tried to take out. Went into branch to get issue resolved. Have to wait 2-10 business to get money back. Chris Kirchner was supposed to call me back with an update and never did. Called back two days later and was told I'd have to wait until Chris got in the next day. Spoke with manager Alex Ott and explained my situation and how my family did not even have money to eat or for gas due to their error and he laughed at me. This was by far the most unprofessional, disrespectful behavior I have ever encountered in my life and the way I was treated is completely unacceptable. What a joke. They do not care about their customers at all.
I closed my account in a local branch on 11/27/2018. and when I came back from Christmas break there were 7 insufficient fund note in my mail box, and they charged over 500 dollar reject transaction fee. I have no idea why a closed bank account will be charged. I will leave this account there and see if it will close automaticlly because the nearest branch is 1 hr away! never use the bank!'
Key bank is a scam. Since i walked in them damn branch doors at the bexley and polaris location in Ohio i have had the worse bad lying experience. I cant wait until the new year and I am closing those accounts down. If if wasnt for the holiday season and i cant afford to redo my direct deposit at this time I would've been went elsewhere for my financial needs! To top it off the call center not on same page I am going back to credit union i rather pay than experiences the bad service and lies. I wish i could give them 0 in the review they dont deserve a 1 at all.Key Bank is a scam they don't practice good business techniques and I am closing all 3 of my accounts down asap just as quick as I got them.
