Santander Bank US Checking Accounts

Went through the drivethru atm and it took my money then said transaction failed, so I run inside and their like we can't do anything about it you have to call the number on the card, so I do and they say it'll be 10 business days to resolve, so now I'm out 1400 and the cnt says not the way to start off the weekend as I'm leaving.

I'm in Delaware it's bad enough there is limited branches near by, but when in Philly on a Saturday most branches are closed funny how only Kenneth square and Avondale are opened, why just that area.

Truly a worthless bank to do business with. When you have a problem, it takes weeks before they even begin to review the matter.

Avoid this bank !

IVE BEEN WITH THIS BANK FOR ONLY A FEW MONTHS NOW. ALREADY THAT I KNOW OF THEY HAVE STOLEN 84$ FROM ME. THEY TRY AND RUN NUMBERS AND ATTEMPT TO DEFRAUD ME OF HARD EARNED MONEY. THIS IS NOT AT ALL OKAY. I WORK HARD FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. TOTAL CREEPS.

Disputing charges with them is such a hassle. They always side with the scammer. Had frequent charges of purchases I did not make via walmart, and instead of siding with me where I showed proof of these fraudulent charges not being mine they “investigated” and allegedly found that walmart was in the right. Imagine that? Use Ally instead.

Very rude and unprofessional staff. Racism in this place is very blatant. This branch need to be reviewed by corporate and its staff replaced. I would never recommend this bank to anyone

I’ve been a customer with Santander since they opened (I’ve had my account for over 30yrs my original bank was bought out several times and I stayed). Money was stolen from my account via wire fraud. I have notifications so in less than a minute of receiving the alert I knew something was wrong and called them immediately. I was informed because I called immediately the POS who did this never received a penny but I had to close the account I had forever and reopen a whole new account. It took them over a week to replace my money (which was never actually missing) and it seemed like everything was good? The old account was dead and I was told to go back to the bank and officially close it out. Prior to me being able to get to the bank I received another alert thinking the POS was trying it again. I immediately called the bank to inform them and wasn’t to concerned because there was no funds in the account but I wanted them to know this POS was trying it again. I was informed by Santander it was them and they denied my claim and they wanted me to pay them the money (that was never missing). I thought it was a misunderstanding and could be easily resolved. Nope, they began sending me text and email messages demanding I pay them the money. If I would’ve completely closed the account as they instructed I would’ve never known or received the notification of the 2nd transaction.
I was insulted, they called me at work causing substantial anxiety and frankly I was furious. I couldn’t concentrate and even loss sleep.

For one I NEVER do wire transfers and wouldn’t know how if I wanted to. They provided no legitimate detailed reasoning. It’s now in the hands of their “Senior Customer Care”. After hours of calls and all the stress and embarrassment of making me feel like a liar if this is not resolved with a written apology I guaranteed them I was going to file a complaint in the local court, have a police investigation opened, report them to the BBB and any other oversight institution. In addition (on the recorded line) I assured them my attorneys will subpoena every employee involved, all voice recorded conversations, all data files and anything else relevant to the case. I DONT CARE IF IT COSTS ME 10X’s the amount, I will pursue this on principle. In addition, I have DOZENS of contacts both personal and businesses who have accounts with them and they are all set to close them if the bank don’t correct this disaster. In their twisted little
Santander world they think they have the final say, well that’s not how it works in the USA. I would’ve gave them a minus 10 stars if it allowed me.

I never ever will do business with SANTANDER BANK they denied my claim that someone used my debit card and spent $600 I immediately called them and then I was told it was denied cuz of inconsistency PEOPLE BEWARE OF DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK DONT USE SANTANDER FOR ANY OF URE BANKING NEEDS THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE ALL MIGHTY DOLLAR NOW THEY EXPECT ME TO PAY FOR SOMETHING I NEVER PURCHASED PLZ PLZ PEOPLE THAT WORK HARD FOR THERE MONEY DONT BANK WITH SANTANDER

1 star because no stars was not an option. That said, this is without question the worst banking institution I've ever had the unfortunate experience of dealing with. For some reason they took it upon themselves to cancel my debit card today. I still have not been given any reason why they did this but due to this error on their end I have several automatic payments that will not go through and this is going to wreak havoc in my life. And even though it's their fault they have absolutely no solution to the problem and we're completely rude about it which is mind-boggling. And by the way, this is hardly the first catastrophe they've caused with respect to my accounts

If you need to speak to an agent “EVER” (?) bank anywhere else but at Santander Bank.
This bank needs to hire more people!!! ???
