Security Service Federal Credit Union Checking Accounts

I talked with Veronica on the phone and she was very helpful she answered all of my questions . I had to call a second time because I thought of a another question and she was very happy to help me again .

The bank itself is fine, but it seems like anytime I need to transfer my Own money I am met with maintenance notices and network errors (despite the status of my connection). I know that server maintenance is unavoidable but the frequency and previously mentioned lack of access to my money is unacceptable.

Deposit VA check held until I seem to make call ???? Why is it that it takes a call. When it should be automatic. Are they holding deposits.

I was trying to open up a new checking and saving account with ssfcu and she was not only able effectively help me with that but she also provided me with additional helpful options I did not know about that I took advantage of to better aid my situation.

I went in with my check and within 15 minutes I had my account set up with all my questions answered. Thank you Brooke Martinez for doing such a great job explaining everything. I have a brain injury and she explained everything to me perfectly. ?

When I have the energy to go through the hassle of closing all of my accounts and moving my money, I will, if I can find a place that actually cares about its customers.

I filed a dispute about a charitable organization that took in donations under false pretenses. I submitted as evidence an email string where the organization initially said they would give back my donation; they just needed the PayPal transaction ID (which I provided); my letters to the FTC and IC3, plus the links to social media posts where multiple donors who were scammed were asking for their money to be returned. This is still happening, by the way - this organization took in at least $1.5 million from duped individuals.

The disputes department did not do any investigating, whatsoever. About two weeks after they sent me a letter stating they would look into it, they replied again, saying they would not be refunding my money. With that, they attached the same b.s. response the charity gave PayPal for not refunding the money, even though the President had posted a TikTok video, where he states, "If anyone wants their money back, just ask me, I'll give your money back." The reason? The donation can be used for any purpose. Well, that's a bunch of crap, because these donations were solicited for a SPECIFIC PURPOSE, which was never realized, and my donation was earmarked for that purpose.

I replied to the disputes department that they did not do anything to investigate, and I knew it. Then, I received a voice mail from some supervisor in disputes named Melissa, asking me to call her back. Well, I've called her twice now, and she has NEVER returned my calls. Probably because she has nothing to tell me.

My next step is writing to the Colorado Attorney General regarding this charity and the money they took in with their scam. And if I have to, I'll start a class action suit against these scammers, because this is not right. Not impressed whatsoever, with SSFCU. Take your money elsewhere!

You like getting your card Declined randomly for no reason? Then SSFCU is the bank for you! Sufficient funds? Get ready to be declined at the worst times. Gas stations? Forget it. Make one transaction 10 min outside of your hometown? FREEZE. This bank is a joke, why I’ve put up with their BS for 5 years is beyond me. I’m done. I’m taking all of my money, and going to a competent bank. This bank is, for lack of an better word, ghetto.

Pathetic company. Most banks/credit unions will get you your direct deposit couple days before but security service will make you wait the day of I don’t mean midnight. Most banks will allow you to deposit funds before they charge you any overage fee, nope not security service, they really care about their 32.50 fees. That must be their money maker is fees. Do yourself a favor bank somewhere else.
