They are not a Bank! They are Thiefs! Was a happy Chime Customer for almost a year. I would load the card, sometimes at 7-11, etc. Sometimes game redemptions. I would pay bills and send my kids money. Suddenly, June 7th 2019, my card, which as $1400.00 on it, is declined. I try to sign on, only to be greeted with Your account is suspended. After an hour on the phone, I was told to email certain documents. ID, Proof of residence, etc. Then I am told that there is suspicious Load activity and they want to know who and why I am receiving money from, along with how, where and why I am spending the money. Against my better judgement and because I did nothing wrong, I sent EVERYTHING they asked for and that was available to me. Only to be told in a FINAL REQUEST email. Your documents are not sufficient, there is nothing further we can do. Your account is still and will continue to be suspended, indefinitely. Well we will see what the FDCI, BBB and the Federal Consumer Protection agency thinks about that! The reason they don't charge fees to some people, is because they steal it from others! Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Simple Bank is fast, free, easy and FUN. No branches? No problem! The network of no-fee ATM service is vast, Direct Transfers from External Accounts is easy (and fast) and they do (of course) have Direct Deposit. The APP is sleek, simple and easy to follow & use. The website / interface is also sleek, simple, easy to navigate (and fun). Even the Debit Card is "simple", a stark, clean white card. It arrives in a beautiful little package. As an added bonus, they don't do a hard credit pull when you apply (I don't think they even run Chexsystems). In my case, NO DING. I seriously recommend this Bank.
I banked with simple for almost a year. Their app is user friendly, they do have a Customer Service team that answers...sometimes after a week or 3. I closed my account after seeing a charge for $50 that I didn't recognize. It appeared to be a merchant I often purchase from, but when I called the merchant and they confirmed they did not charge my account...I knew it was fraudulent. Simple sent me an automated message saying they were considering the case closed, and no funds would be credited to me. The "supporting documents" for their decision were nothing valid. There actually were NO documents! Only a statement someone wrote that obviously did NO digging into my case. Absolutely unacceptable from a "bank." When I disputed their decision, someone wrote back to me, but just haggled back and forth about my logic in my messages. Bottom line is, a bank should be aware of what transactions draw from, and go to. If they can't see where your money goes, they shouldn't be called a real bank. I joined my local credit union. Also free. No fees, and has a user friendly app. Bye "Simple." Simply unacceptable.
Have been calling all week and their support team just tells me it's not their job to help me with my missing money their associated people have lost.. they didn't lose just my check they lost a lot of people's checks and they are doing nothing about it.
Their banking system was great around 1-2 years ago but recently they are getting worst every day, if you contact them and send them message, they use to be answer you right away, but not it take 3-5 days until they reach you back. Not to mention compare to other online bank such Ally, Capital One 360, they don't offer you any interest. At least on Capital One 360 let you deposit money from ATM, they don't do anything to help you.
I currently have an account with Simple Bank. They are an internet only bank but have many great features that make them my favorite above traditional banks. They have no fees first of all. Second, you can just take a picture of your check and it will upload right away. There is a downfall of no cash deposits. To solve this, you can just purchase a money order and take a picture of it. Transfers are fast and they have great customer support. There is never a worry that I will not get help. They also include a cool money clip rubber band device when you get your card.
I had some trepidation about using an all-online bank for checking. The validation process took a day or so, and the check card took almost two weeks to arrive. Sort of understandable, since the only way they make money is if you have money sitting in your account, racking up interest. No fees so far, even with the piddling balance I keep in there. The interface is friendly, and modern-looking, very different from other banks. Very much mobile-friendly, along the lines of ExpressCoin. Simple Checking is a keeper. Chase who?
I have loved Simple Checking. They have been super-quick on resolving issues, and their online interface is very easy to use. I love the goal setting aspect of long-term savings, and the ability to set money aside painlessly. Their bill pay service is simple to use, and it is easy to send money to friends and family without too much pain.
I have had some issues with other banks and their checking accounts in the past, their fault and my own, so when a friend of mine told me about Simple Checking from the Bancorp Bank, I thought it sounded way too good to be true! Turns out that I actually had one of the Bancorp Bank's prepaid debit cards, so I knew that it was a respectable bank. It's never done me wrong and it continues to delight me and make up for all those others banks from the past! I praise God for Simple Checking from The Bancorp Bank!
Simple bank is my newest checking account and by far the best yet. I really like it because it's name speaks for my experience with them; everything is really simple. My checking account is clear and easy to read, it's a free account with no hidden fees, and I have been able to transfer money to and from my savings account with no fees. Also, when transferring money from another financial institution, the longest that I ever had to wait was 2 days. I have Wells Fargo and Woodforest bank as well and Simple beats both banks in my opinion. The only downside to Simple is that it is only online so there are no branches to go to.
In the event that in a given week, for this product, there were multiple applicable rates in our database based on different criteria, the above graph reflects the lowest interest rate recorded. Before submitting an application, always verify with the issuing institution (i.e. bank, credit union, other lender) the rates, fees, and all terms and conditions accompanying the application.
