Terrible place to bank. My account overdrew after i asked bryan the manager at the Waterfront office to not allow it to do that. I was upset and said a few words (cus words) over the phone to somebody on the customer service side and low and behold they closed my account. Wow what terrible customer service! Never again!
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! First told I could pick up my check card at the bank. Then told it was mailed out that they don’t have cards at the bank. THEN 2 weeks later my card was sent back because my house was vacant, funny I still get my bills on time. THEN WAS TOLD MY CARD WOULD BE SHIPPED RIGHT BACK OUT. THEN EMAIL STATING BEFORE THEY CANT SEND IT OUT UNTIL I SHOW A UTILITY BILL!!! Guess what??? My bills are online and paperless!!!! DO NOT USE THIS BANK YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!! They do not have regular employees there they keep leaving all the time so their employees do not stay there and they have your records all mixed up and then if you bounce a check they close your account permanently so beware of this Bank because someone writes you a bad check I would not say that there federally insured even though they advertise they are so just beware of this Bank
Found out a couple of weeks ago that United had taken over my bank which I'd been with for 20 plus years. First thing I had problems with was not being able to use online Bill pay for any government entity, I'd had no problem doing this at my old bank. Second thing was I travel extensively and never have had any fees on my ATM card use (No Visa Logo and not a debit card). Now they want to charge me $5,47 on top of exchange rate. Been doing this for 20 plus yearsl with no charges. Seems they are not up to scratch. I'll be moving to another bank.…show more
Deposited a check from Transamerica! Bank won't let me have my money for 7 days!!! Insurance companies are a high risk.!?! Asked for just part of it to take my wife out for anniversary. Nope. Was going to give some to wife for a trip to texas to see her daughter. Nope. Called corporate customer service...waste of time. We all know it is some computer clicks and entries and the money is transferred. Of course branch manager is off. Senior teller is off on weekends. Been with them for over 10 years. My visits to this bank have usually been very fulfilling and met my expectations compared to my past banks. The customer service group at United Bank are always helpful and polite. They answer all of my questions, even if the questions are simple. Their online banking is probably the best I've seen because you can easily transfer money to others, view balances, and even look at your bank statements. The only real complaint I have about this bank is that they have only recently created a mobile phone banking app. Since this is still new, they need to improve on it quite a bit because it does not always show the correct balances and lacks many of the features that are provided online. Also, applying to open an account was simple because as soon as you walk in somebody is there to help you. They go through all of the different accounts and try to help you decide which account is the right one for your personal needs. I would recommend this bank to others.…show more
United Bank provides a positive experience for their members. I had no problems with them throughout my entire time that I had my account with them. Their customer service representatives were extremely helpful with any type of issue you may have. I once had a transaction which I did not make and their customer service rep was very helpful. The issue was resolved and I ended up being not charged for said transaction. That made me feel safe because I knew that in the event of someone wrongfully making a transaction on my behalf, United Bank would have my back. I opened a free checking account three years ago with United and have had a very pleasant experience with this bank since then. You do not need to have a minimum balance and in the event of an overdraft, they will pull money from your Savings account (if you have one) to cover.
Another great thing about United is their drive-through hours. I tend to get off work a little later and am still able to make it to the drive through if necessary- it's open until 7pm Mon-Friday and on Saturdays from 9-1.
Lastly, their customer service is excellent. Everyone is extremely friendly and very competent and an overall pleasure to work with! They also offer free gifts if you refer someone and they open an account. Bank United!…show more
My dealings with United Bank have been nothing but positive. I recently opened a checking account with them and was very pleased with the whole process. The women that helped me get my account was extremely polite and very knowledgeable of the benefits and features my account came with. The application process itself took less than twenty minutes to complete and was very easily understood. I also once called to dispute an overdraft fee which I did not think was fair. The representative I spoke to, clearly and polietly explained why this charge took place, and the actions I could take to proceed.
