Fees galore! They need to change their name to Fees R Us. I believe they charge fees for every tiny amount so much that my account is in the negative and I only get social security check. Giving one star is actually splurging!
Ok here goes our experience. My hubby and I had 2 separate accounts. They messed up my account by placing a check in incorrectly. So, my account was negative because they put more in the account than what the check was for. So I tried paying them back by depositing money and because they messed up I would have to pay it back. Very rude every time I went in. Customer Service was horrible. Now they have frozen my hubby's account and we aren't sure why? tried to make a deposit and they said his account was frozen. Whamoney order we needed to cash and the guy told us that we could just deposit it.
They the money order have been through so much especially with Pendelton Pike. We had a money order that we needed to cash, so the guy there told my hubby to put his name on it, feel had his
THIS BANK IS THE WORST. They have so many random fees and make it so hard to close your account. It was the biggest mistake ever going to this bank. Do not waste your time here, take your business ELSEWHERE.
Woodforest takes your money. Don’t bank with them. They closed my account a year ago-I never received notice. I also did not receive the refund of my closed account. I learned this ONLY after I tried to make a withdrawal; as I had made a CASH deposit the day prior. They applied my deposit to a closed account, and did NOT tell me it was closed. So they kept my account funds, accepted my deposit to a closed account, and now I must wait 3-5 days for a call on status, anytime day or night. AND they will only call me once. Can you believe it. I plan to share my experience with Woodforest far and wide.
Woodforest is a very good bank overall. They have always been helpful and reliable. However, I will be moving to another bank due to their international transaction fee of $2 every time I buy something. They do this despite so many other banks no longer charging such a fee. They could be 5 star, but it is apparent they want to settle for being a 4 star bank.
Woodforest is the worst bank I done ever in my life had ! I opened up account with them was getting direct deposit everything was going fine but than I start seeing that money was taking out my account account was going into a negative I’ll call customer service and they would tell me that my pending transaction was coming in late it take 2 or 3 days for them to post so while I was thinking money was on my card they was taking it than charging me 120 just for overdraft I would never in my life recommend this bank to no one even if it was the last bank on earth !! This is the worst experience ever and now my account in a negative 358.72 but they want get that
Every month in charged a $10 return mail fee and they say they have no address on file. How??? I get mail from them. So I re-verify and no apologies and can't give a reason why my address is not listed. Then I have to wait 48 hours to be refunded my $10. The only benefit from this bank is that I get paid on Thursday
Woodforest National Bank has the best customer service of any other bank around! They have great products with competitive interest, and many access points to their bank. The best thing about them is that I can deposit cash at a Wal-Mart cashier if I miss the bank! All I have to do is give them my debit card and load money into my account. Not to mention that they are open 7 days a week, including most holidays. I don't know where all the bad reviews are coming from, but my branch is in Central PA and I LOVE THEM!!!
Last night I had the worse experience in my life with a bank. How it started is one of the cashier's in the Seymour Location entered a 15 dollar check as 150.00. I had sold something to a lady and she paid my mom. I wasn't sure if she made a mistake or that she bought 150 from me. The next day I paid a bill with the money. I was then called out as a criminal and ask to return the 150.00. I said what??? So, they threatened to shut down my account if I didn't pay the money back. I had no idea what they were talking about??? i am currently a very sick person, I have many things wrong with me and am a Senior. I received a check from a friend and it was at Woodforest so I took it without thinking back to Woodforrest on Pendleton Pike. There I was greeted by a man who asked how he could help me? I said yes sir I want to cash a check from a friend she wrote me for $60 , that was my gas money and food money to get home. The person who helped me told me, I am sorry I can't cash this Check you owe us money...then the Manager got involved I was floored, I couldn't believe she was treating me I like a Criminal. Then she said can't help you, about 10 times. Finally I had a panic attack not knowing how I was going to get home...so then she went in the back room, like she was calling the cops on me..i was like you have got to be kidding...so I set down she came out after 10 minutes and said sorry can't help you. I got in the car and fell apart...what a mess. Finally out of the kindness of her heart, Gloria got involved with the mess and had to get approval from someone else. I have so much pain, and had a break down on the way home. I couldn't stop crying. I had banked with the Company for 8 years and was treated like this over 150.00. I will never go back...what a mess!!!!
They are terrible and racist. When you report fraudulent charges on your account they come up with a stupid reason for denial. Then when you call to report fraud on your card you can't get in touch with them. When you do call to report they don't put what you claimed happen. Your claim is totally different from they report. they make up details that are not what you report to them. l
