While Barclaycard was once known for co-branded offers bearing the logos of corporate partners like Best Western, Carnival Cruise Lines, U.S. Airways, L.L. Bean, and the NFL, the company (one of our advertising partners) has since revamped its product line to feature lucrative Barclays-branded offers, such as the travel-oriented Arrival Plus Card. The Arrival Plus Card actually outpaces market heavyweights like the Capital One VentureandChase Sapphire Preferredcards. With that being said, we always recommend expanding your search beyond a single issuer in order to get a complete picture of what the market has to offer. I have had a really bad experience with Barclays. I have had the card over a year and have been in good standing. I have made my payments on time and maintained a great customer relationship. I paid off my card and then used it again. I received a letter in the mail last week that my credit line went from $2200 to $1450 because they did a credit check on me and found I had a bankruptcy 6 years ago. I GOT THE CARD A YEAR AGO! I currently have a balance of $1200 on my card from my daughter starting college. I had paid every month faithfully. I had planned to pay off the card last Friday the day I received my letter. I called to speak to someone and was blown off. I have since paid off my card. Not sure if I will use it again!…read more
When I first got my Barclays card, I did not even think I was ever going to use it. It was basically handed to me and so I just put it on my key chain. I used it once when it was convenient, and the lady at the counter said that the more I use the card, the more savings I would get. This was basically how every other company was, and so I just decided to use it more often to make use of it. Eventually, I got a 15 dollar fee off of my gas price, and I was also able to get my next purchase 50% off because of it. I was so happy, and now I have a bunch of points saved up and I am just waiting to use them at the right time.…read more
I have the Barclay Rewards Master Card and found it was the right choice for me. I liked how it has a 0 annual fee, and that I got two points for every dollar spent on everyday items such as my grocery and gasoline purchase. The APR could be a little less, but I never have to worry about that.
I have the US Airways Barclay card and it is great. I received 50,000 points after making a purchase and paying the yearly fee which I believe was $89. I also earned double points by using my card to book travel on USAirways. Another great perk was that they are allowing you to earn double points from March to June 30th of this year which is awesome. The card is switching to the Aviator Red card because of the merger with American airlines. I will still receive the same benefits and looking forward to it. Other perks are free luggage and early boarding.…read more
I have a Barclay credit card, its has an easy website to use and they recently started giving you a free FICO score. The finance charge is 12.99 which is not bad when you have so so credit. They periodically raise my credit limit so thats great.
I have a Barclay’s credit card. I got it when I purchased my MacBook. It’s really easy to use because it’s accepted wherever Visa is accepted. I make payments online and they have a fantastic website. It’s very easy to use and navigate around. I had to call customer service once to change my address and they were friendly and quick. They will periodically review your account and increase your limit if you have been a good customer. I’ve never had a problem with my Barclaycard.…read more
I have a Barclays card for LL Bean, and it is just okay. I shop at LL Bean, but not regularly. I just got the card so I could get an initial discount. The interest rate that I received was a little high in my opinion, and I don't feel like the rewards are worth what I have to pay monthly if I don't pay off my balance.
The Barclaycard Rewards MasterCard is the newest credit card I have. I got the credit card because I recently just opened a Barclays online savings account which gives the highest interest rate I know of (0.90%) which is why I have most of my money parked in my Barclays online savings account at the moment. I figured it would do me no wrong to get a Barclaycard credit card attached to my Barclay savings account and so I applied for one and got approved. I get 1 reward point per $1 spent, which is the usual reward you would get with any other rewards credit card. It doesn't have an annual fee which is a plus. The interest rate is kind of high though at 24.99%, so if you don't usually pay off all your credit card purchases at the end of each month I would not recommend it. But since I always pay off my entire credit card bill at the end of each month the high interest rate doesn't really bother me.…read more
