Citibank (a WalletHub advertising partner) issues credit cards on the Mastercard, Visa and American Express networks as well as a range of retailer-affiliated store credit cards. While Citibank’s Visa cards are best for travelers who frequently stay at Hilton hotels, thanks to a co-branding relationship with the company, Citibank Mastercards include some of the issuer’s most attractive overall offers – such as the Double Cash, Diamond Preferred, Simplicity and ThankYou cards. Citi’s co-branded offers with American Airlines are on the Mastercard network too. Citicards on either the Visa or Mastercard network will give you worldwide purchase capabilities and access to the best possible exchange rates and a host of additional benefits. It’s just a matter of finding the specific card that will provide the most value in light of your current financial situation and habits. I have the Citi Prestige credit card and I absolutely love it. I have 2 other credit cards but none of them offer rewards as great as the Citi Prestige. The interest rates are fantastic and the customer service has been top notch. Highly recommended.
I recently got my Citibank Mastercard and I'm more than happy with it. I have a Citibank account and it was very easy to link the card to it. I can review my statement online, which is nice since the bank branch is far from where I live now. I would definitely recommend this card to anyone interested.
I applied for the Citi Diamond Preferred Card and got approved. The negatives are there is no rewards program associated with this card which is bad because you won’t be able to get any cash back. The positives are there is no annual fee and customer service has been top notch.
I have the American Airlines CitiBank Mastercard. I chose this card so that I could rack up the miles. I have been a member for over 20 years now, and have had no issues. I can review my statement online at any time and click an easy dispute button if anything is not correct. What was even better, I did not have to call them up to find out the results of the dispute. Everything was communicated through email and taken care of promptly. I did rack up the miles and will be using them for airfare and hotel stay. Of course, all done online without having to deal with long call times. It really has been a trouble free credit card.
I have the AA Citi Mastercard. I think that I found out this card while buying plane tickets through the AA site. The card included a statement credit and a nice 30,000 mile bonus as well. I like that the card waves foreign transaction fees, making it ideal for travel abroad. It's nice having priority boarding too. I've never had any issues with this card, and the two times I had to contact customer service were both pleasant experiences.
I have an AA Citi Mastercard. It is one of the cards that i used the most, especially when traveling overseas. The usual 3% foreign transaction fee is always waived, which I liked the most. The down side is sometimes I will have a bit of a challenge when certain overseas locations don't take mastercard, which then I have to use a visa instead.
I have had the Citi Diamond Preferred Card for about 8 years now. I haven't had any troubles except technical issues with logging into their website. I haven't had anyone steal my number and any time I had to call about a question I had, they were very friendly and nice to me. It has been my first ever credit card and I have definitely learned with it. I am still paying it off because I was young and went a little crazy but I am almost there. I discontinued any extras the card has, like protection. The only fee I have ever had was when I was late one time. The rewards I get, I don't really use so it is pointless for me.
I have a Citibank Mastercard. I got it because it was convenient since I already had a Citibank account and simply linked the card to my Citibank account when I got approved for it. Personally, I chose to get a Citibank Mastercard instead of a card from any other bank because I have experienced the best customer service at Citibank. The bank tellers at the branch I frequent are really friendly and go out of their way to offer you a personalized service. Their customer service support on the phone is terrific as well. I used to bank at Wells Fargo and used to have a credit card at Wells Fargo but their customer service is pretty impersonal, distant, not very friendly and not very helpful, and the credit card I used to have with Wells Fargo charged an annual fee, whereas the Citibank Mastercard I own does not charge an annual fee.
