What credit score is needed for a First Progress Credit Card?
There is no credit score requirement for a First Progress credit card, as all its credit cards accept applicants with bad credit (300+).
If you qualify for one of their secured credit cards, you would also qualify for any of their cards.
So, these are very lenient credit score requirements, but you will have to live with an annual fee. There are some secured credit cards, though, that do not carry this burden. Ultimately, you can check out our editors' latest picks for the best secured credit cards in the market.

Does First Progress have any unsecured credit cards?
No, First Progress does not have an unsecured credit card. It does offer three secured credit cards: First Progress Platinum Select Mastercard® Secured Credit Card, The First Progress Platinum Elite Mastercard® Secured Credit Card, and First Progress Platinum Prestige Mastercard® Secured Credit Card. First Progress markets its credit cards for people looking to establish or rebuild credit.
Secured credit cards, including First Progress cards, require a refundable security deposit to open the account. Deposits for First Progress secured credit cards start at $200, but approved applicants can choose to deposit up to $2,000. The amount of the deposit determines your initial credit limit, and also serves as collateral for the issuer, should you default on the account. You'll get the deposit back when you close the account with no outstanding balance.
If you're not set on First Progress as an issuer, there are others offering unsecured cards for people who want to repair their credit. Among them are the Indigo® Mastercard® for Less than Perfect Credit, the Total Visa® Card, and the Credit One Bank® Platinum Visa® for Rebuilding Credit. But unsecured credit cards for rebuilding credit are saddled with high interest rates and a host of fees including annual fees, processing fees, and one-time "set up fees". That will take a sizeable chunk out of what will likely be a pretty low credit limit.
That makes secured credit cards the better deal for repairing less-than-good credit. You will have to front your own money to open the account, but it's money you'll get back if you use the card responsibly. If you establish a history of timely payments, you may receive a credit limit increase or be eligible to transition to an unsecured credit card with better terms.
How do I cancel my First Progress credit card?
You can cancel your First Progress credit card by reaching a representative from your online banking account or by calling (888) 403-4783.
Make sure to pay down any outstanding balance you might have on the card before canceling to receive your security deposit back in full. Otherwise, you might only get a partial refund or none at all. If you do qualify for a refund, you will receive it within 10 weeks of closing the account.
How does the First Progress late payment forgiveness work?
There isn't such a thing as a First Progress late payment forgiveness.
First Access states in the card's Terms and Conditions that if they do not receive at least the minimum payment due by the due date shown on your monthly billing statement, you will be charged a late payment fee.
If it's the first occurrence however, you can try calling them to see if you can work something out, at (888) 267-7980.
