DONT GET THIS CARD!! Locked me out the first day i used it when i changed my PIN!! I travel all over the globe and tehy want a current US address and i dont have one. so card is useless!! This is ridiculous. I spoke with a VERY ANGRY, VERY RUDE, unwilling to listen representative. I was unable to log into my account and I simply needed a password reset. It took me more that 15 minutes to get a password reset after being transferred.
I NEVER thought it would be soo difficult to simply make a payment.
Merrick Bank Card Services IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST....
It's a great card for rebuilding credit with no hassles or hidden fees. I've had this card for about three years and have no complaints. Their website could use some updates but it still gets the job done.
Very poor customer service. Have been with them for a couple of years. Noticed on my statement that I was charged a late fee for being one day late on my payment. I had never been late before with a perfect payment history. When I called and talked to customer service they told me I was 2 days late and I had to correct them as I was looking at my online statement. I love my credit line increase
Merrick bank unsecured is one of the first cards that i got when building up my credit. I have never missed a payment so they have upped my limit several times. High interest card but if you pay it off monthly, not an issue. Here is where i was floored: for the first time since opening the card, I needed a replacement card, due to me damaging the card. They charged me $15 to replace it. I have several other cards. I have never been charged to replace it. You would think with a $15 charge they would at least over night it. Nope. That costs $49. A good customer service rep would have waived the $15 for a customer in good standing, like myself. But alas, no. 2 stars... do better merrick bank.… read more
HORRIBLE!! Been with them for years and every time I make any large payment I have to wait for a week to use the credit line. I have never had an nsf check to them. And the attitude of the people is crap. All they say is
" that's just the policy".
Merrick Bank is terrible. This unsecured card will not stand behind its customers relative to vendor disputes. Customer service is rude and useless. DO NOT GET THIS CARD !
I like this specific secured credit card, because of the rather large positive effect it has had on my overall credit score. Also I was easily pre-approved for a 3000$ credit line which was extremely easy.
