MERRICK BANK CREDIT CARD REVIEWS
Had my Merrick Double Your Line card for about 8 months. They started me out with 700 after I received a pre-approved offer in the mail. Before the 7th statement closed they doubled my line just as promised. Now I sit at 1400. Good company
My Merrick unsecured credit card has no annual fee, no maintenance fee, no set up fee, 0% interest for first 6 months, on any amount charged.
After the first 6 months the interest rate starts at 26%, about what the average store closed loop card charges in interest. Credit limit started at $700.00 and will double to $1,400.00 after the first 7 months of proper payment, and use.
I was promised a increase after making 6 payments on time and promise wasn’t kept now they saying my account go up for review in 2 more months when right now I needed it the most in 1 more week my maternity leave will be up which means I will be back at work so it wouldn’t be no need for a credit increase..just need folks to be more honest
I highly recommend Merrick Bank, Very professional and they have great customer service, as an Allstate Insurance Catastrophe Sr. Claims Analysis Catastrophe Adjuster for Home’s Auto Boats and Aircraft Licensed for all US States, with a 36 year credit history I know customer service, Merrick Bank is for me.

This is ridiculous. I spoke with a VERY ANGRY, VERY RUDE, unwilling to listen representative. I was unable to log into my account and I simply needed a password reset. It took me more that 15 minutes to get a password reset after being transferred.
I NEVER thought it would be soo difficult to simply make a payment.
Merrick Bank Card Services IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST....
It's a great card for rebuilding credit with no hassles or hidden fees. I've had this card for about three years and have no complaints. Their website could use some updates but it still gets the job done.
Very poor customer service. Have been with them for a couple of years. Noticed on my statement that I was charged a late fee for being one day late on my payment. I had never been late before with a perfect payment history. When I called and talked to customer service they told me I was 2 days late and I had to correct them as I was looking at my online statement. Was not pleased customer service lied to me and not pleased that they would not give a good customer a 1 day break. I have closed this account.… show more
I love my credit line increase
Merrick bank unsecured is one of the first cards that i got when building up my credit. I have never missed a payment so they have upped my limit several times. High interest card but if you pay it off monthly, not an issue. Here is where i was floored: for the first time since opening the card, I needed a replacement card, due to me damaging the card. They charged me $15 to replace it. I have several other cards. I have never been charged to replace it. You would think with a $15 charge they would at least over night it. Nope. That costs $49. A good customer service rep would have waived the $15 for a customer in good standing, like myself. But alas, no. 2 stars... do better merrick bank.… show more

Many credit card issuers will upgrade a customer's account from a secured credit card to an unsecured credit card after they have used the former responsibly for at least a year. Responsible use means never missing a payment and maintaining reasonable credit utilization (i.e. not maxing out your credit card). Most issuers won't make the upgrade proactively, though, which means you might need to request it. You can read more about switching from a secured card to an unsecured card in our Secured Card Guide https://wallethub.com/edu/secured-cards/19575/#secured-to-unsecured.
Yeah, after 6 months. If you've got 6 months of clean payment history, you can request a credit limit increase. If they approve you, you'll be able to add more money to the security deposit.

The Merrick Bank secured card is a Visa, so you can use it at any ATM that accepts them. That's pretty much all ATM's really, as Visa is everywhere.
That being said, if you're thinking of withdrawing cash, be mindful of the cash advance fee and interest rate.
