How do I set up Prosper Card automatic payments?
Cardholders can set up Prosper® Card automatic payments through their online account or the Prosper mobile app. Calling customer service at 1-866-615-6319 also is an option. Once you're enrolled, Prosper will withdraw the payment amount from your linked bank account on the scheduled date.
How to Set Up Prosper® Card Automatic Payments:
- Log in to your online account via the Prosper website or mobile app.
- Find the payment section on the account home page and then select the automatic payments feature.
- Enter your bank account routing number and account number. This is the account from which Prosper will deduct your payment each month.
You should always make sure your bank account has enough funds for the payment a few days before the due date, to be safe. And once you're in enrolled in automatic payments, don't forget to review your recent transactions regularly.
How do you get a Prosper Card PIN?
To get a Prosper® Card PIN, call the number on the back of the Prosper® Card and ask customer service for a PIN. You will likely need to wait for the PIN to arrive via email, text, or mail.
Best Way to Get a Prosper® Card PIN
- Call Prosper customer service at 1-800-851-0630 or call the number on the back of your Prosper® Card.
- Inform the representative that you want a credit card PIN.
- Receive the PIN in the mail, over text, or by email. It's unlikely that Prosper® Card customer service will be able to provide a PIN over the phone.
If your credit card had a PIN in the past, but you've forgotten or misplaced it, Prosper may tell you to look for the PIN before they generate a new one. It may be listed in credit card-related mailings or your online account. And if you need a PIN for a cash advance, it's important to note that cash advances have high fees and interest rates, so you'll generally want to avoid them whenever possible.
Finally, keep in mind that even though the Prosper® Card credit card has PIN capabilities, it's still a signature-preferred credit card. This means it may not work at unattended kiosks abroad, like in a train station or parking garage, but you should have little trouble elsewhere.
Does the Prosper Card have a late fee?
Yes, the Prosper® Card does have a late fee of up to $40, which applies when cardholders don't make the minimum payment by the due date. The late fee for Prosper® Card is $29, and it will increase to $40 for subsequent late payments within 6 months. After 6 months of consecutive payments since your last missed due date, the late fee will reset to $29. Thanks to the CARD Act of 2009, the Prosper late fee can never exceed the minimum payment amount.
If you accidentally make less than the required minimum payment or you miss your Prosper® Card due date entirely, you can always ask customer service to waive the late fee by calling 1 (800) 903-4697. This is much more likely to work if you have a great payment history with Prosper, but even if not, there's no harm in asking.
To avoid getting hit with late fees in the future, make sure to pay at least your minimum required payment each month. The best way to ensure that you never miss a payment is by setting up autopay.
How much is the Prosper Card cash advance fee?
The Prosper® Card does not have a cash advance fee. The $0 cash advance fee on the Prosper® Card makes cash withdrawals less expensive, though this type of transaction still will not be cheap. There's a separate cash advance APR that applies immediately after you complete the transaction. An ATM owner may also impose additional charges.
