American Express (a WalletHub advertiser) is unique in that it both issues credit cards and operates its own card network. Amex credit cards are also almost exclusively catered to people with excellent credit, particularly those who pay their bills in full every month. The company’s range of charge card offers is one example of this. While you can therefore expect to find a number of good deals listed below, people with average or below-average credit will have to expand their search to include at leastVisaandMastercardrewards credit cards. They’re equally as popular as Amex rewards cards and boast broader worldwide acceptance. Even if you meet Amex’s approval requirements, it’s a good idea to shop around because an American Express rewards card may or may not be the most lucrative option for your lifestyle and spending habits.…show moreshow less
I just recently got the Amex EveryDay® Credit Card from American Express. The reason I got it is because there is no annual fee. I’ve been wanting an American Express card for years because they always have good promotions but there is always an annual fee. Finally I got one and I’m just waiting for more discounts and promotions to come.
I have an American Express Retirement Rewards card. I like this card a lot because it gives me a flat 2% cash back on all purchases. I don't have to think which category it is this time of the month to make sure my credit card pays out properly. I can redeem in $50 increments into any account, not just my IRA.
I have experience using the Blue Cash Preferred® from American Express for business as part of my job. While I do not have to worry about the $75 annual fee personally, I know that could be a dealbreaker for some people. However, the reward rate has helped my boss tremendously get what he wants.
I have Blue from American Express, which is essentially the first card listed on this page. I'm very happy with the card and with the service I get from amex. Their website is one of the best Credit Card websites -- very easy to know what's going on with your card and to check and use your rewards. Regarding the rewards, they seem very good to me. I'm not exactly a rewards card expert but I personally love the fact that I can get a home depot e-gift card which means instant rewards. You can also use your points for statement credits or to shop on amazon but the exchange rate isn't as good. This is one of my favorite cards (and I'm not sure if that's a good thing). The only negative is that it can take 2 statements for points to accumulate in the first place, so you have to be patient.…read more
I love this card. I was hesitant at first because there is usually a catch but this time there wasn't!! I use it for filling up my truck and since I drive a lot I am able to earn free tanks of gas, I use it for groceries (3%-which adds up with a family of five!) and bill pay as well. I like that there is a 0% transfer fee because there have been times when my husband has needed money while out of town.…read more
I have the TruEarnings Costco Card from Amex. So far, I like it, but a few improvements I can see that would make the card more valuable would be no limit on gas purchases (currently you can only earn $120/year for the 3% bonus), and allow the user to cash out at anytime rather than wait until the first quarter each year to cash out. All in all, I like the card, but a few improvements would enhance the already great benefits of carrying the card.…read more
I have the blue cash everyday card from American express. I originally got the card because of the no annual fee now I pretty much only use it till up on gas, pretty much the rewards give you 1 free tank a year, which to me is pretty good. There’s 0% transfer which is nice and I have used it when an emergency has come up, otherwise it’s a great solid card!
I also have this card and it works even better with large purchases.I use it primarily for gas because I commute a lot but I recently had a string a large purchases and the rewards added up quite quickly.Overall great card!
I have an American Express Delta Airlines Rewards card. This is a very good card since the interest rate is not too high and since you earn points every time you charge your card. The rewards program is good. I already have enough points for free travel. Travel with these points is very flexible. Because Delta Airlines is a member of the Sky team Alliance, the choices for international travel are very open and very diverse. That includes traveling not only with Delta Airlines but traveling with other airlines members of the group as well. The sky team airline members are from all continents. This is a highly recommended card. Just be careful to check that American Express is accepted at the place where you are going.…read more
I have a TrueEarnings Card from Costco and American Express. There is no annual fee with a Costco membership, which is great. The best part of this card is that I get 3% cashback at U.S. gas stations and on gasoline at Costco. I also get 1% cashback on all other purchases including Costco, which is the usual cashback percentage one gets with a rewards credit card. It would be nicer if I could have gotten 3% cashback on all purchases from Costco instead of just 1%, since after all this is a Costco-affiliated American Express rewards credit card and I do most of my grocery shopping at Costco.…read more
I have a Blue Cash Everyday Card from American Express as the credit card I primarily use for gasoline and groceries. You get 2% at US gas stations & select US dept stores as well as 3% in grocery stores. It is also handy due to the fact that I use Amazon quite a bit. With this card you get a free year of Amazon Prime. There is also no annual fee, which makes this card quite nice. I would recommend this card to anyone.…read more
I currently have the Blue Cash Everyday Card from American Express. I primarily use the card for the cash back rewards on fueling my vehicle. I find that the rewards are not dramatic at three percent, but the reward percentage is very competitive with other similar rewards cards. It was also a bonus to get fifty dollars in cash back upon signing up for the card. Overall I am very happy with my American express card.…read more
