Horrible experience. it has taken 2 days to try and get the card activated after sending in the requested documents and answering multiple questions to be told that they are going to send me a new card. This company is absolutely pathetic and everything is "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Don't be sorry, be better and improve upon your business practices. DO NOT waste your time getting this card.

Total trash. How I was swindled into this racket I have no idea. 50 cents to check your balance via phone. $1 every purchase... Ace should be ashamed. Taking superfluous money out of poor peoples hand is unnecessary. It's next to impossible get by on just cash nowadays. You need a debit card to consume.

If i could rate zero I would! I was a customer for years and one day I was robbed at gunned point, taken to an ATM and forced to withdraw funds out of my account!Thank God I wasn't killed or physically hurt, but i complied as anyone should in a situation as such. I sent them a police report and still did not get money back! Who ever makes the decisions on whether or not
"you deserve" to be refunded is unreachable and policies are in place so that there is NOTHING you can do but except the loss! I was told because I had used the bank before it appeared that I was lying! So my advice to you is, if you have this card and you happen to get robbed near your neighborhood ask the kind and understanding robbers to take you to a bank outside of your area to a bank you have never used and you MAY get your money back!… show more

Money was stolen out of my account through scammer and even though I'VE had this account for years they refused to give me back my money like most banks. Told me to file a police report and then they would give me back my money. Then they said they'll let me Know within 10-45 days what their decision is. AWFUL. If I ever get my money back I'm DONE with this company

This card Is not good DO NOT GET THIS.. You call and they are rude because you call and the fees are ridiculous don't expect them to help you it's going to take over three months to dispute a transaction no English speaking reps no a good card

Fees hiding in fees. Apparently I spent $2 just trying to cancel the card this morning, because the automated customer service robot just hangs up if you don't input commands that take it somewhere, but it also loops with no way to speak with a person and no way to cancel the card. Oh, but don't worry, it'll still charge you for calling customer service and speaking to that unhelpful robot.
Just absolutely horrible.

I have had the card for 9 years not one issue. I really think you see the results when you have a consistent direct deposit .

Just moved back to the US and don't have a bank account set up, thought getting a prepaid card rather than a re-loadable gift card might be a good idea. I have never been more wrong. If you're in between banks or can't get an account; cash is king, gift cards will do. Just the card itself, there is a massive fee for each transaction or a $10 monthly fee, which is less if you're
using it a bunch, but still an insane amount of money. They don't tell you about these fees when they offer them to you at the check cashing stand, either, so you just get to be surprised when your paycheck has a nice 10% dent in it from fees.
For me, the issue was kind of specific. I got the card at an ACE location and, again, because I haven't been stateside long, my only ID is my passport. Passports don't use addresses, so I was asked to send proof of address to an email. I got an email back saying it wasn't approved, but did not give a reason why. So, I sent a few other pieces of mail, still came back not approved, but without explanation. So, I called and was told that I needed to send different proof, or at least that is what I understood through the language barrier. This happened three different times. I was finally angry and called a final time demanding a supervisor or to actually talk to someone who reviews the documents for proof to find out what their problem is. Finally, this fourth person was able to tell me that the document review team didn't think my address was a residence and therefore wouldn't approve my address at all. I explained that I live in an apartment building, that the building has been residences for nearly a century. They refused to change their decision or even hear my appeal. Turns out all I actually needed to do was give them an address that they were willing to call a residence. I gave them my mother's address, which they did not verify or ask for proof from me to accept. So, my actual address wasn't good enough, but literally any random address I could come up with would be fine? Cool. I guess that works.
It wasn't until after this week of emailing and calling and frustration that I was told I would be charged an additional $10 on top of the $5 to activate the card and the 2% for cashing my check. So, yeah, I emptied the card and shredded it.
The card is expensive, the customer service sucks. Just get a gift card or carry cash. For real.… show more

Huge fan!! I've had an account with Ace Elite for several years. I just renewed my expired card. I use several bank accounts including Chase, Credit Union 1, and Huntington, to avoid putting all of my money in one place, and Ace Elite has been the easiest to use, most reliable as far as access to my money, dependable with my Direct deposits... It has actually worked better for me than the banks! I pay
$5/month for "maintenance", which is cheaper than some banks, and no fees for transfers, transactions, or anything else... my money is simply directly deposited and I use the card as needed! Simplicity! I'm actually closing my Chase account this week because of the ridiculous amount of fees they charge EVEN AS A MEMBER!!! Ace Elite will be taking over that account.

you need to change your policy on activating a new card for a teenager. I tried to get a card for my 18 year old daughter who is still in school and not working. Our mailbox got broken into so we had to get a po box, but the custermer service and supervisor say that they can not activate her card unless she have a check from work, water, electric etc bill or doctor bill...
It like where are your ears i just said had to get a po box and you do not except a po box, have only 1 physical address letter and do not want to accept it knowing the legit reason. Like they intentionaly do not want to activate a card for any teenager that do not work or pay bills and stay at home with there parents,… show more

HORRIBLE! They charge you $1 and $2 fees EACH TIME you use it?! WTF! I went to the grocery store and you charged me $2 which I could've used to buy my freakin' noodles? If you have bad credit and you've overdrawn every bank in the neighborhood, get GREEN DOT Prepaid Card from CVS. It functions just like any decent bank's debit card and I've had it for years.

Its a horrible card to use Ace Cash express did not disclose fees at time of signing up for it. Had have more fees than I care for. Fees for everything on it and the customer service call center people try to up sell you on the next level up. That is a nope on this one. If they had a -0 or -10 for a rating I would give them that.

Absolutely love my AceElite card! I've had it for 4 months and I use it as a direct deposit account and havent had any problems. If you aren't enrolled in direct deposit, this card will eat you alive in fees but the fees I pay are very minimal and well worth it. Customer service is very friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has direct deposit and would use the card alot. They
even give you offers for places based on your spending habits and with this card, i get my direct deposit 2 days before my coworkers! There's also a savings account feature and several other features that I haven't tried yet but will soon. A+ rating for website, ease of use, and customer service… show more

It works if you are in a pinch but definitely is subpar to an actual checking account with debit card. There are plenty of ways and places to reload the card but the fees are $3-$5 and then they charge you when you use the card. You can sign up to get the fees waived for a monthly charge or if you direct deposit over a certain amount. Unfortunately I was being charged the monthly
fee and the per transaction fee. They do allow you to go about $8 in the negative which can be convenient but then of course when you load your card you have to subtract the fees and the negative balance. I can't wait till I can qualify for a real bank account again and I can be done with this card.
Finally they do offer attractive card designs and getting a second card for the account was easy. Their website works just fine.… show more

I would give this card a zero but but doesn't let me have that option. This card is the worst card I have ever had. They charge you for using the card. For each debt transaction they charge you 2.00 for every credit or signature transaction they charge you 1.00 to check your balance it's .50 to call in its .50. If you are like me that use the card for your everyday use DO
NOT GET THIS CARD! I just got this card and notice I deposit 200.00 and within 2 days they took 28.00 in charges and fees. I didn't know why. So I called they said it was the monthly plan which is $10.00 I asked well if I was charged the monthly plan why I still being charged everytime I use the card? The customer service rep advised well I'm not sure but you can upgrade the plan next month and it will only be 5.00. I advised that didn't make sense. Why would I upgrade the plan to direct deposit when you guys haven't even fix the current problem. They took over $28.00 and the customer service rep couldn't even help with an answer why other then to upgrade the plan. I canceled this card. It's not worth adding money or giving them your money because the service is not even that good.… show more

I rate this a minus -5, I have a direct deposit account with an AceDELETE card! It has gone none-valid with a expiration date shown to be active for another year. My social security funds are in their account not mine! I have tried to contact them via my account AceElete and Netspend with only one phone number listed. They asked for my card# and or social security# to which they say are not valid,
then give no option but to hang up. I drove to their local reload center where I opened this account, it is an empty building...So far not so good, I will try the third hand in the pot MetaBank, then I go to the authorities. STAY CLEAR! p.s. i had to give a rating to submit this… show more

The worst service ever! Netspend tells you all fees are waived of you enroll in the $5.00/mo. plan with Payroll Direct Deposit - which turns out to be a blatant LIE!! I have had way too many instances over the past 3 months where they continue to prove themselves to be underhanded and basic thieves!

I agree that if I could rate this a double 0, i would. This company is that bad that I had to write a review. This card is nothing but fees....You cant even tlk to an automated person for free, so dont even think a live person doesn't cost. Make sure you read up on anything you are putting your money into because this is a straight ripoff and Ace themselves are extremely ridiculous with
their fees....Straight robbers!… show more

If I could i would give this entire idea a 0 rating but since that is impossible I'll start with one positive thing.... The card is pretty. Aside from that, this entire thing i s a disaster.
I was never told I would be charged 2$ every single transaction to use MY MONEY!
I was charged 20$ by the time I realized! Not only that, but why must they feel the need to block my account
when receiving my direct deposit! And i called customer service, like they say to do, it's 8:30am not to mention, and it says "Were closed until 8 am." I HATE THIS ENTIRE CARD, THIS COMPANY, AND I AM CLOSING MY ACCOUNT! DON'T DO IT!… show more

Beware ! If you have any other options, take it. Ace Elite is a good service as long as you need nothing from them. ie customer service, assist with a problem etc.
All they employ are foreigners who speak very little English and can never get anything right.
Ace Elite's complete non-caring attitude will only hurt you if you run into a problem.
Once again.....BEWARE !

Called customer service and I have to say I’m blown away how rude this young lady on the phone was to me, I forgot to write down here name. My whole person was to ask why my payment I sent to my credit card was returned back to aelite card… that’s it. My issue was not resolved and my question is where is my money that was sent back to this bank..I made a payment
of 40.00 and a payment of 104.00 both of them where sent back to aelite card from me trying to make a payment to my credit card.. I guess magically it disappeared. Don’t ever use this bank to pay bills and also be prepared for the rudest customer service in your life…October 17, 2014… show more

Three years ago I signed up for the ACE Elite card and have not regretted my choice. The main purpose was to receive deposits into my account two days ahead of time which is much better than traditional banks. This is the greatest asset to having this card. Additionally, I like the Savings Account feature that is attached to the account. It affords a person the ability to potentially save money for the future, so
basically you're getting a two for one by signing up for the account.… show more

I have had an ace elite card for a while now, and there are more positives, then negatives with it, however I'm still not quite 100% satisfied(Although I also won't be until they create a credit card that you can actually spend all your money on without fees). The Elite card, allows me to get my paychecks through direct deposit 2 days earlier then the normal pay date, and going into any ace store, will
allow you to take the money off your card without any fees assessed. However, if you choose to use your card, instead of taking your cash off, it will charge you $1 per transaction through credit, and $2 for any debit transaction, or paying at the gas pump itself. They do have a program you can enroll in for $5 a month to get free transactions, but I would just rather have my money. The card itself, is the closest I can get to a perfect credit card, and it still helps you build your credit. I like my card, m just wish for once I could spend my own money without fees.… show more
