To transfer Amex Gold card points to travel partners, cardholders must first log in to their American Express account and go to the rewards redemption page, then select “Transfer Points.” People with the Amex Gold card can transfer points to travel partners such as Delta Skymiles, Emirates Skywards, and Marriott Bonvoy.
How to Transfer Amex Gold card Points
Log in to your Amex Gold card account online.
Navigate to the Membership Rewards page.
Select “Transfer Points” as the redemption option.
Follow the steps to transfer your Amex Gold card points to a travel partner.
Keep in mind that some travel partners may offer more value for your points than others. Also, remember that most American Express transfers will require a minimum of 1,000 points, and that all transfers to travel partners must be in increments of 1,000.
There is no minimum income requirement to get the Amex Gold card, but American Express will consider your entire credit picture, which means they consider factors like your credit score, length of credit history, debt and recent inquiries.
You cannot transfer your American Express Gold Card points to another Amex card, but when you have multiple cards that earn Amex rewards points, all of your rewards will automatically accumulate in one account.

I am not sure if this American Express Gold Card is the right choice for me because of the outline which states, “Balance Must Be Paid in Full Every Month.” This is a “Charge Card” that has to be paid off monthly which differs from a “Credit Card” that allows credit as a loan with annual percentage rates. The American Express Membership Rewards Program is a great feature but I enjoy a little more flexibility in the monthly balance like I do with my current Capital One “Credit” card. American Express is known for great frequent flyer programs and this card appears to have a great offer. Maybe when an actual “Charge Card” will be to my advantage over a “Credit Card”, I will review American Express Gold options again.

The American Express Gold card is an excellent option for those with problematic credit history who would like to rebuild their credit. While I think a $125 annual fee is a bit steep, it's quite average for all cards that compete in this area. The other downfall is having to pay off your balance in full every month. The point rewards are a great incentive though to get more bang for your buck while improving your credit score!

The American Express Gold Card seems like a good card. The thing I like about the card is that you can receive reward points and use them for gift cards for dining, entertainment, and to shop at over 300 different merchants. I also like how I can get discounts and some low rates on hotels and resorts. It’s great not to have any annual fees for the first year. The only thing I dislike is that if you have a late fee from zero to the greater 35 or 2.99% of the delinquent balance would be charged to your accounts. Other than that it seems like a great card to have.

The American Express Gold Card seems to have some perks that would make it a good choice, as long as you pay your balance every month (as is true of most credit cards). Still, I like that American Express doesn't gouge you with outrageous APR, and though their late fees would add up if you failed to pay them off each month, if you stay on top of your bills, it doesn't seem like a bad deal. The $125 yearly fee may be difficult for some cardholders, but that beats a ridiculous APR any day, in my book, and I do like the perks and points system, which you can use for dining, entertainment, etc. And if you travel a lot, there are discounts at some hotels, so this card may be an even better fit. So a good card overall, especially for those that travel and that are good with paying their bill on time.

I really like the rewards and benefits American Express gold offers. I dine out and shop a lot so getting points for that would be awesome. I had the capital one prestige card and I got 0 rewards, Also the fees aren't too bad. It would be nice to not have any for a full year.

American Express is ideal if you hate carrying a balance and like to put all your bills on one card. I do this so I earn points, which can then be used to pay off some of those bills. When it comes to travel, American Express is the best because you know you're protected if something goes wrong. As long as you don't overspend, this card is a great choice for purchases and travel. I find having to pay the whole balance helps me control my spending and budget better.

The American Express Gold Card is an excellent choice if you can pay the full balance every month. Utilizing the Gold Hotel Collection perk could more than pay for the annual fee that starts during the second year. The American Express Gold Card is better than most cards I've had like it. The points and discounts you earn really make this card worth having, and no other card can really compete with it.

One of the more prestigious cards on the market, the American Express Gold Card is the card to be seen with. With its endless discounts on restaurant and hotel purchases, the Gold is one no traveler wants to be without. It is, however, important that consumers know just exactly what they are getting into when signing up for the card. A balance due in full at the end of every month isn't for everybody, and you may want to determine in advance whether you are going to rack up enough rewards from use to offset the $125 annual fee. Overall, a very solid card for its purpose!

The American Express Gold Card is great option for a lot of people. The rewards with this card are near the top of the game, there's no annual fee for the first year but you can expect to pay One hundred and twenty five per year after that, which is pretty high in my opinion. If you are approved for this card then you for sure have pretty good credit so don't expect it if you don't. This card carries a level of prestige similar to the "Visa Black Card".

The American Express Gold Card is a good option, especially for those who travel a lot. The discounts and low rates at hotels would be quite convenient for a savvy traveler. American Express has excellent customer service, which is a huge perk in the credit card industry. The annual fee of $125 is a big negative. If you are going to offset that amount substantially by the amount you earn in rewards, then by all means, choose this card. But there are other American Express cards that have no annual fee. The American Express Blue Cash card has rewards, no annual fee, and of course no interest charges when you pay off your balance in full each month.
