Tried to redeem miles for airline travel I already purchased. Seems there is some fine print that if you don't book through them, You will only receive 1 dollar for every "167" points earned. I specifically asked about this before I signed up and was told its 1 for 1. Now on redeem day they pull this crap. Very unhappy customer and see myself switching over to one of my other card vendor for daily transactions. You pay an annual membership fee also to be part of this sham!!! I looked on this page to find that lingo and had no luck!!!
Super unhappy!!

I got my card because i wanted to have credit and also people family member's were recommending it. I think everything is good as it is and doesn't need any improvement. I would definitely recommend this card to others. American Express customer service is great. Everyone is friendly and very informative.

This was one of the first credit cards I started using regularly and I must say I didn't much care for it. The rewards system is based on points, instead of cash back, and you have to make a ton of purchases per billing period to be eligible for any of the special bonuses, otherwise you accrue points at a snail's pace. Points themselves can only be redeemed for specific things too like flights or hotels. The interest rate on this card is pretty high compared to many other cards available and the customer service at American Express is lacking to say the least. When I called with some questions about my statement once, it took me over 30 minutes to get the information I was looking for because I waited on hold and had to talk to three different people. I would not recommend this card.

One of my favorite cards in my wallet, credit application process went really smooth had my card in my wallet in a little less than two weeks. I really love american express and the 0 percent apr for 15 months is what turned me onto this card. This card has really made a difference on my credit score being that I'm using it alot due to the 0 apr. On my end this card has been a perfect card for me.

This card has been one of the most reliable and consistent cards that I have ever owned. I am excellent at paying my bills on time, but the safety net of having a low APR is really nice in case something comes up. The rewards program is great too. It's simple; points = products. If you are attracted to low interest rates (especially during an introductory period) and do not mind sacrificing some rewards perks, than this is the card for you!

The American Express Amex EveryDay Credit Card is just what it bills itself to be: a great credit card for everyday usage. While the fees are a little on the pricey side, what I really love about this card is the intro zero percent APR periods. If you pay your entire balance off by the end of that promotional period, you could effectively turn this card into one that is entirely interest free. One additional great thing about American Express is that their customer service team is first rate, so should their be any issue, it is very easy to resolve by simple contacting their support team.

The Amex EveryDay Credit Card from American Express is for cardholders with an Excellent credit score (FICO score above 720). With this card, there is a 0% interest rate on purchases during the first 15 months of usage, as well as a 0% interest rate on transfers during that same time period. The regular interest rate afterwards ranges from 12.99-21.99$ depending on your past credit history, and while this is slightly high, good credit can keep it closer to the minimum. There is no annual fee with this card, no annual fee for additional cards, and no maximum overlimit fee. However, the maximum late fee is a hefty $38, and the maximum penalty APR is 27.24%. The grace period is 25 days, which is more or less the median time frame for most cards. Additionally, there is Smart Chip technology in this card, which is a special kind of payment verification.
With regard to rewards, this card gives one year of Amazon Prime membership, as well as 10,000 Membership Rewards points after you have made $1,000 worth of purchases within the first three months. You do get automatically billed every year after that so if you do not want to continue the membership you have to remember to cancel. If you make 20 or more purchases during a given billing cycle, you can earn 20% more points on those purchases. US Supermarkets earn you double the points until you've reached $6000 in purchases there, and then reverts back to 1%. Other purchases earn you just 1%.
For those who travel, there is a Membership Rewards "Pay with Points" program that allows you to pay for part of or all of a flight and prepaid hotel stays; however, there is a foreign transaction fee is 2.7%. You can transfer points to over 20 frequent traveler programs. Second, there is car rental loss and damage insurance, and depending on specific details, you can be covered for a stolen or damaged vehicle. Third, there is a Roadside Assistance Hotline, though you have to pay for third-party service costs. Fourth, there is a "Global Assist" Hotline that helps with sudden changes in plans that you may need guidance with when you travel more than 100 miles from home. Last, there is travel accident insurance. This covers accidental death and dismemberment in specific circumstances. Overall, this is very good coverage for those who travel and want some kind of benefit that goes beyond simple monetary rewards.
When shopping, the card can add up to one year added to the manufacturer's original warranty, as long as it is a warranty of five years of less. If a store won't take an item back within the first 90 days of purchasing it, you may be refunded the full price if eligible. There is purchase protection, dispute resolution, and "ShopRunner," a 2-day shipping program with free returns. The Membership Rewards Program allows you to use points for rewards with over 500 brands, and there is no limit to the rewards you can earn. This is a great card if you travel and also make purchases regularly. If you have excellent credit, as this card requires, you shouldn't have a problem with any kind of late fees.

I really like my Amex EveryDay card for the reason that it is a card that I can use everyday and then pay off. I also earn bonuses, like 10,000 points after making $1,000 in purchases for the first three months, which I did easily. I can also earn double points at supermarkets, where I’m frequently using my card. Also, unlike many American Express cards, there is no annual fee on this card, and the intro rate on purchases for 15 months is 0%. My only complaint is that not everywhere takes American Express so sometimes I am limited as to where I can use this card.
