Absolute garbage. I was skeptical to get the card after being a long time AMEX User that includes Platinum, Everyday and Delta; each for different purposes). The daily cash back enticed me and the growing adoption of Apple Pay with a higher return percentage was appealing. Well, after almost 6 months of having the card, I finally have had enough. While trying to buy my daughter a bike for Christmas today, my card was declined
and when calling support, I might as well have saved my time. Lackluster support doesn't even begin to describe the Goldman Sachs customer service. While standing in line, the representative couldn't resolve the issue, told me I never activated the card (not even remotely true), tried to elevate my issue to the supervisor and placed me on hold for more than 5 minutes while LOCKING MY CARD. I used my AMEX without any issue and left with the embarrassment of a declined card staring at me. When I called back in, the next representative asked if I possibly could have locked my card within the app. What a joke! All the perks are there - no fee, daily cash back, easy interface for Apple users. All of the negatives come when you are in a precarious position and they force you to reexamine whether the card is worth it or not. Going back to AMEX as my card of choice and possibly looking at other options for cash back.… show more

Once your card is linked to an Apple ID you can no longer add it to a new Apple ID. I was told by them that you have to pay the remaining balance, close the account, and resubmit an application to run your credit again just to open a new account just so you can add the card to a new Apple ID. So

Apple card has pluses but they have not handled my dispute ethically. I have clear documents from the company saying I will get a full refund in 24 hours. I have an email requesting the refund in less than 24 hours. Somehow 6 months later I still have not be refunded the $997.00. I would recommend you research them before you use them.

The card is fine for Apple based activity and limited other use that I find worthy to place on Apple. What I don’t like is their statement process in that if you don’t pay attention it’s easy to miss source

They practice what they call trailing interest. So even if you pay the card off in the previous cycle you will be charged a prorated interest. This is a never ending cycle with them. It’s a credit card apple not a loan!

Just applied for the Apple Card. Got denied due to monthly debt obligations being too high. I have no debt or monthly obligations. I live rent free and have 0 bills. I have a lot of disposable income. My credit score is over 800 as well. I have called the trans union and the Apple Card application center and still no answer as to why I got denied. I planned on buying all new apple
products with this card but I will now apply for a different credit card and give them my business instead of Apple Card. Do not waste your time they sounds like an awful company with horrible customer service who doesn’t know what’s going on.… show more

The car looks really awesome and every time you spend money a small percentage of it gets put towards your Apple Cash which you can use for anything you want. I know all credit cards do that but it’s just kind of cool to have it on my phone like that. I pay my electric bill, I can download some free on iTunes, it all works out.

Easy to follow spending ... and payment is just a swipe of the key. One thing I really like is ... NO card number printed on the card! So they can’t copy it down... if you want a new credit card number, just press a button on the app to have a new one assigned. Keeping the same card! I never have to sign receipts any more... maybe Apple doesn’t require it.

The Apple credit card is the worst card I have ever had. I received the card. As I used the card I would pay the balance off in full about every couple weeks. All of a sudden I’m out of town and went to pay a dinner bill with my card and found out my card was locked. So I texted the customer service since they don’t make it easy to physically speak to someone.
Nobody could tell me why my card was locked. I’ve spent over 3 hours texting back and forth. Then I requested somebody verbally call me to discuss the matter. They said someone would call me. I waited a whole week and no phone call. Then I started texting again. I’m so disgusted.
This has been over a month now and don’t you think a company would value their customer and make an attempt to resolve issues! Maybe I shouldn’t of been paying my balance off as soon as I used the card.… show more

Man, I really loved this card. I was even recommending it to friends. Here’s what changed my mind:
I payed my balance in full because I knew I wasn’t going to be able to access my account for a good while. Once I finally accessed it again, I find out I have a late payment of THREE months. The balance of that late fee you ask? It was a dollar and some change. The balance came
from an interest fee on my ZERO balance. That’s crazy to me. They told me the interest was from before I payed off my balance. But then I was upset because I feel the interest should have been applied to my balance before I payed it off. Last time I looked, I had a zero balance. When I look again a few months later, I have a balance of less than $2 from an internet fee. So my credit score went from 769 to 671. That’s inane. My credit score dropped 98 points because of a $1.40 something. I've never had a late payment before this. I took extra care in keeping my score as it was. I'm very disappointed. Closed my account with apple right after we couldn't resolve my issue. Customer service was awful too. I don't know how many times I had to explain what happened before the rep transferred me to a manager per my request. The entire experience was beyond stressful.… show more

I use this card minimally maybe more when I upgrade my current iPhone or iPad.
When card was originally issued, it only showed up on TransUnion. In July 2020 it showed up on Experian credit score & did serious damage although it was 8 months old. It appeared on Equifax the next month and did not hurt my credit score but did raise my available credit and therefore lowered my utilization percentage.

The first time I disputed something I had to pull teeth to get any sort of timeline. I was never given the opportunity to provide evidence. I was given a provisional credit but they reduced my credit line by that amount until it was resolved; up to 90 days.
The second time, Apple Store messed up, and I had to wait a week for a charge to fall off, making my card unusable for a
week; and all Goldman could do was throw it back at Apple Store - who threw it back at Goldman.
This time I have to wait another week for a payment to post. The money left my account the 31st. They will post it Aug 7. When questioned I was just told, “At this time, it can take up to 6 business days for available credit to reflect a payment from a bank account. However, depending on your payment amount and history, the hold time may vary. In the future, please note that your available credit should reflect immediately if you make a payment using your Apple Cash account in Wallet.”
So because I pay it off, completely, once a week all of a sudden the usual instant credit takes six days?
This does not work for me; their policies are their policies - and they can keep them.

Apple Card promised me I wouldn’t be charged interest if I paid my balance in full. But they still did charge me during a pandemic! I could’ve used that money to pay other bills I’m behind on. I was deceived and I’m making an official complaint. Don’t apply for this card!!!

Have had an AmEx Gold card for 40 years. Got it when I finished my MBA. Through ups and downs it has always been easy to use and easy to understand - mostly that it was always a deferred cash and expense documentation card.
Have had Apple Card for maybe 18 months - of unmitigated, frustrating, time-wasting, and even money-wasting bull. Goldman Sachs has a national, well-deserved reputation as being one of the least respected
companies in the finance industry. Why a company as with a somewat stellar reputation would align with the likes of GS is beyond me. GS' wannabe financial analsts couldn't even comprehend how a sports apparel company ripped me off on a $100 gift card I bought as a gift that they never delivered. An attemt to buy a $700 SE as a gift with interest-free installments against my ACard $6,000 'credit line' was met with more than an hour off messaging and phone call transfers and dumb answers by GS and ACard. At first, I loved my Apple Card, but I'm no longer a fan and it tarnishes my love for Apple, even though it's really about Goldman Sachs. I had to dispute a charge and it's been a nightmare. The reps have not been well informed. They don't do what they're supposed to. More often than not the first response is from
an AI BOT, than if you are lucky you will get a human who is unbelievably inept and indifferent to your issue and puts the problem on your shoulders to resolve. I have been instructed to contact Apple to resolve my issue and the fact that an unusual pattern of charges 38 of them within few hours didn’t flag their algorithm to unusual activity.... well they are part of Apple so they protect and serve Apple... DO NOT be fooled by MasterCard logo.. you will have zero protection unlike other banks MC. I will most certainly escalate thus to BBB and FDIC and any other governing authority. Apple tells you nothing about your rights, they did not tell me my rights to an appeal, in fact the rep told me it was between me and the merchant at this point. I requested that it be escalated to a supervisor, was told it would be and I would be hearing from them. I never heard a word and the time passed to appeal. What I've learned over the years is customer care and how they handle disputes is a far greater value than any points or rewards they could ever offer. I have great credit and am a very valued and supported customer elsewhere. They give me no reason to give them any further business. Denied for a card with 700 credit score, less than 40% credit usage and all cards paid within promo periods. Outrageous. Goldman Sachs was one of the banks who were prosecuted by the Fed after the 2007-2008 recession, so be aware that they already have a bad track record.
