The temporally stopped my card three times this week for Go Puff purchases under $15 Dollars each delaying my dinner and then this morning I was forced to call them and then deal with one of their operators from the Philippines and then also get a code to my phone and plug that in it’s a high pain in bottom for the type of use I get out of it and yes, it’s high interest and high fee per year. I wouldn’t have done this or kept them except I’m hoping to use the airline mileage When I get to be comfortable about traveling with people who sneeze and cough and yawn without covering their mouths

Please stay away from this card and Barclay bank. They are scam. I set up automatic payment everymonth, and they changed from automatic to manual payment without my consent. I was not aware of it until few months later when they called and said my account was closed because I didnt pay. So it racked up few hundred bucks for late payment and interest charges. I tried to argue to no good. I paid all charges thinking that was the last time I had to deal with them. But no today (nearly a year later) they called me again and said I didnt pay again. So my account was inactivated by them, but they still charged annual fee and rack up late fee and interests again. I was so mad. Stay away from these scammers.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS CARD!!! Less than a week, card declined while out of town- customer service not available until morning. Unbelievably the WORST service I have ever experienced!!!! Apparently no one can tell me why this has happened and they can’t get my card working until the morning. Thank goodness I have another card or I would literally be sleeping in my car tonight. (Middle aged woman —out of town!!!) Absolutely ridiculous!!!!!! This message needs to get to upper management—- TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! ?

Same. Card gets declined every time I try to use it online. That's after taking me a month for them to approve after application with 800+ credit. Customer service say the transactions have been processed their side yet vendor shows decline. Fraud/security team had apparently put a hold on my card because of a transaction from Google. They tell me they will release the hold and clear the card but I need to wait until after the weekend to use it!! Wth?!?

Their program is great UNTIL you have a dispute!!!! I have used this card for 5 years with no problem. Now that I have airline charges to dispute, they have required 3 call backs thus far. This requires navigating their system each time and 30 minutes plus on the phone each time!
I recommend Citibank's AA cards because they have a huge retail banking presence in the US. Barclay's does not, thus the HUGE inefficiency. Once the refund is processed, I will cancel the Aviator red and go back to CITIbank.. IN years past, I had to file a charge dispute with Citi and they are efficient and easy- Far from it with Barclays.

Support for disputed charges is dismal. Barclay's process favors the merchant and not the card holder. Every other bank card I use, like Citi and Chase all favor the card holder. Which makes sense since the merchant would not have the sale and the bank wouldn't have the charge if it weren't for the card holder making the choice of which card to use. And yet, with Barclay's, their process punishes the card holder. If you have any problems with Barclay's when disputing a charge, I strongly suggest you file a complaint with the BBB. Within days of filing my complaint, I heard from upper management. It still took them a month to resolve the problem (in my favor), but at least I felt like something was finally being done.

Impossible to get more than a $2K Line of Credit!! Which is nowhere near enough to cover my monthly airfare alone, much less any other purchases. I have EXCELLENT credit and they denied bumping up my line of credit. The first time I've been denied credit in my adult life. It's just crazy.

Tried to use the card to book a hotel. I needed a security code to make the purchase this did not work, called customer service and they told me that the system is down and there is nothing they could do. This is the second time and the last time. I will use another card.

poor customer service. I was given a pamphlet on a flight for AA Barclay card with 50,000 free miles and with code 564310 another 20,000 would be added making a total of 70,000. I made my one-time purchase that was required and only received 50,000 miles. Upon making my elder mother's reservations I spent hours on the phone trying to get the extra 20,000 to cover her ticket. WHAT A RUN AROUND! I was hung up on and transferred and told that it was Barclays that handles the points, Barclays says it's American Airlines that adds the points. If this isn't solved by the end of the data and I lose this ticket for my mother I will be so angry. The problem still isn't solved.

I have had huge challenges with the fraud protection unit. My card was stolen right at the end of 2021; my car was broken into and a police report was filed. I called the fraud protection folks right away that same night, within a half hour of the break-in. It took far too long to cancel the card, and I kept telling the operator that somebody could be using my card at that very moment and also that I needed to move on to cancel other credit cards. It turns out that somebody did charge $800 right about that time. These charges should have never happened if the card had been cancelled right away. Even worse, I noticed several weeks later that I had not received a new card. It turns out that they had not fully cancelled the card that night or issued a new one! So I got that straightened out and got a new card and was told the $800 had been removed from my account. But several weeks later still (now a month after I tried to cancel the card on the night of the theft), I received a letter saying that the card had been charged for the $800 again. After struggling to get an answer from the fraud protection folks as to why the charge had been placed back on my card, they told me that it was because I had made other charges with that vendor. But this response was completely illogical - I had made minor charges of $60-70 many months before the $800 charge at a different location of the vendor which is a big chain grocery store!! I tried multiple times to speak to a supervisor at the fraud protection unit and was denied. I am still waiting for resolution of this $800 charge that is entirely the credit card's fault. I am incredibly frustrated. I have identified that the problem is with the fraud unit as I have not had nearly as much difficulty with regular customer service.

I was on an AA flight coming back home and the flight attendant offered the Aviator card with $99 anual fee to be waived for 12 months plus 60,000 miles with purchase of $1 made in 3 months. So my fiance and I applied and were both approved as soon as I received the first statement there was the $99 anual fee we both were charged. I called up customer service and they said it was under review then a month later we received a letter in the mail of denial and the $99 remained...We were so disappointed for the fact you lied..Soon as my anniversary date rolls around I will cancel this card...
