I really don’t even want to give one star on it. A fraudulent credit card application was submitted online and despite reporting that this was a fraudulent activity, they insisted upon sending a free credit report to the address that was used to create the fraudulent application. Even if you were to do this properly, your information is not protected with this company.

We missed a payment and got charged with a late fee. Our fault, but first time, I figured it would be forgiven. So I called, and was told NO because of some program/system they have. Their program/system take into consideration all the things (they say) but they couldn't tell me why they couldn't reverse the late fee. Time to close this account.

This card does not allow you to freeze your card while trying to sort out fraudulent charges. You can only dispute by phone. Wait times to dispute a charge are long and customer service is not very helpful. I was a thirty year card holder and finally had enough and canceled.

Beware of Promotional APR offers!!
I've been a loyal customer of Bank of America for over 15yrs and I decide a few months ago to take advantage of a promotional 0% APR check they sent me in the mail. I'm doing some remodeling of my house and wanted to use this for a down payment of $7,500. So I used the check and everything was fine. I figured I would pay off my monthly purchases like I have always done minus the $7,500. Then I started getting finance charges on my daily purchases. When I called they stated as long as I had the promotional balance in my account I would be charged interest on my daily purchases! So why would a bank think this would be a benefit to their customers! In 3 months I was charged $154 in interest on my daily purchases even though I paid them off by the end of the month. So this was in the fine print so I asked for them to just credit me my $154 back and I would pay off the 7500 balance since obviously this was not a benefit to me anymore, and they would not. So beware of promotions as they are really not there to help you but find a way to get you to pay interest!

This is one of those things you don't realize until it's too late, and your reading posts like this. We also got hit with a late fee because we missed a payment. Our fault, but once in 7 years I figured it would be forgiven. Autopay is nice, but then you skip any kind of audit on expenses. So my wife called, told me they said no. So I thought she was crazy, tried myself. Also a no. Asked to have it escalated to a manager. Manager said there was nothing she could do. After reading this - I believe it; the system must not allow fee reversals. So we're waiting until the final round of rewards posts and cancelling on the 20th. Card was used primarily for gas at 3%, but the Costco card is 4% on gas, so we'd likely have cancelled anyway. The just sealed the deal.

I cannot add a new payment method to pay my bill. I have spent hours trying to figure out how. I eventually forgot about it last month but this month I was determined to pay the bill or else. There is no way to do it. None. I am using Chrome and android. I paid all my other cards just fine. This is the only one that makes it impossible to add a new bank account to pay the credit card bill.

The worst ever. My mom had a BoA Visa, she passed away and I called to report her death and cancel. I early paid her final balance due, customer service rep acknowledged she had zero balance due and said that there was nothing else I needed to do. When her final statement processed it showed she owed money even though I had already paid the amount due, 3 phone calls in with 2 hours on phone and they still can’t straighten it out, trying to get the money they think she owes even though would create credit balance on her account.

I have been trying to resolve two credit card disputes with Bank of America for 6 months now where I was charged incorrect amounts by merchants. The process has been convoluted and confusing. I submitted substantial evidence for both claims, have spoken to about 10 reps who have not been helpful. The customer representatives often do not have accurate information. When I request to speak to a manager, I'm rarely put through. My claims continue to be denied despite providing clear evidence and speaking with multiple customer service reps.
It has been made clear throughout this process, that Bank of America does not value protecting the consumer rights of its clients. I will be canceling my credit card and plan to never use their services again after this terrible experience.

In full disclosure, I am a long time Bank of America customer. Not always satisfied with BOA service, but this credit card experience was flawless - instant decision with great credit limit and 0% introductory APR for 18 months as advertised. Highly recommended!

They definitely deserve 5 stars. Great app. Also, they've raised my available credit every 6 months, by my request, WITHOUT doing a hard credit pull. Citi won't raise me without a hard pull.
