Synchrony just took over belk. This company has a total scam going on. I have always paid my account in full when I received my bill. Received bill in August with late fee, they did not send any invoices for 2 prior bills. When I called customer service (Tina) stated I signed up for automatic e-billing, I said no way, I never do that. She stated I should check my spam folder for bill. My
credit score dropped significantly because of these scammers. BEWARE!!!… show more

At 1st was great had the card for 7 months never late and always paid well over my minimum payment. Then they closed my account for no reason which looks bad on my credit report. I wish now i never signed up for it. Did more damage than good.

Terrible card. Warning if you purchase this card you will pay lots of interest
even if you pay on time. My last balance for last month was 62.38 dollars when i called to pay it this month it went up to 66.98. You have been warned. If i could give a zero star I would.

I had a zero balance on my account and was denied a purchase because the last payment I made, 48 hours earlier taking it to a zero balance, had not cleared. It had cleared MY bank but they hadn’t posted it yet. Very embarassing in front of a long line of customers. I won’t use card again

I've been with belks for several years I've used my belks credit card for different occasions and paid them off several times I was late two times out of all the years I had this card and now because I've run into some problems with one of my other creditors , Belks decided that I don't need credit from them without no warning no contact letting us know anything but when they sent my monthly
statement I've got a very low credit line well all I want to say is when I get back on track Belks will no longer have my business starting now and forever!!!… show more

Please do not get this card!!! My credit score was high 700’s. I have taken years to build it up. I was 1 month late making a $16 payment. They doubled the payment! Reported it to all creditors!!! And decreased my credit line to $100. Making it look like I have used 35% of my credit line! My credit score dropped 123 points from a missed payment of$16.00! Please spare yourself and your credit! I’ve
literally used this card maybe twice, it was not worth it. A general card such as capital one savor or Wells Fargo are the way to go, you get points and/or cash back. They take care of there customers oppose to hurting them. I will never shop at Belk’s another day of my life or use their card!! I hope my rant spares someone.… show more

The Belk Store Credit Card is a good card to use if you do quite a bit of shopping there. Their rewards for every $400 you spend in store you get a $10 gift card is way beyond what most reward programs will offer. I recommend saving up signing for this card until you know you will be making a large purchase because you will get 20% off your purchase on that first day only.
This can go a long way towards saving money. Their bonus sales are also a plus when you have the card, so it will definitely be your go to card for Belk purchases.… show more

Having a Belk Credit Card is worth your time if you shop relatively frequently at Belks. There is no annual fee and instant incentives to signing up. They give you 20% off of your first purchase and give your points that result in cash after a few purchases. When they do sales such as 20% off your purchase, card owners often get an additional bonus such as 30% off. Twould recommend this card for anyone
who pays off their card at the end of the month but not to someone who keeps a balance. The APR is high and adds up quickly for people I have known to do this.… show more

The Belk Credit Card is much like other department store cards in that it is useful when you shop at the store. You earn 1 point for every $1 you spend with the card, which I like in that you can accumulate points if you are an avid shopper at Belk. The card is similar to the Macy's credit card which also has an APR around 24.49% and offers 20% bonuses to new cardholders on
initial purchases. There is no annual fee with the card as with other department store cards. In the end this card is good for anybody who does significant shopping at Belk stores as a way to build points with the rewards program and to have access to extra savings.… show more

I had a Belk store card for many years and think one of the best things about it is the extra savings and incentives it offers for being a loyal customer. You receive 15% off your entire purchase during your first day of shopping and using the Belk card. The card also offers reward dollars for every purchase you make at the store. While the rewards are not as good as my Target store card,
they are better than what a lot of other similar stores offer. The downside of the card is that the interest rate is pretty high and there can be some lofty late fees if you're not careful. Another downside is that unlike my Macy's store card, the Belk card cannot be used anywhere but Belk stores. Compared to other store cards, the Belk card offers great incentives but is only really worth it if you are a loyal customer that shops there often.… show more

I quite like the terms of the Belk Credit Card, with the caveat that the rewards are limited to shopping at Belk. And since that's something I rarely do, the card probably doesn't make much sense for me. The 15% new account discount is something I've never seen before though, and is a great incentive to get the card, as are the 35 exclusive savings days per year. The 2.5% reward is quite generous too,
but again comes with the caveat that it's limited to Belk reward dollars. I obviously prefer my Capitol One card, which gives 2% back on all purchases. On the other hand, I'm glad that the reward does seem to simply be the equivalent of cash at the store. I don't bother with cards that earn points to be redeemed for specific items. Anyway, if I shopped at Belk a lot I don't think I'd hesitate to apply for this card--the 15% one-day discount alone would make it worthwhile. But since I rarely shop at Belk it's not something that makes sense for me.… show more

I most likely wouldn't apply for the Belk Store Card. The reasons being, I don't usually shop there. I prefer my Target store card because I shop there more. They have things more my style and preference when it comes to clothes and housewares. The Belk card also has a higher interest rate. Although I do like the Zero fraud liability offered by this card, and the point reward system is not too bad.

One of the big advantages of this card is the 15% discount that is awarded on the first full day of shopping. There is annual fee for the card, but that can be wiped out by not staying current with payments. The card does charge 24.49% interest and a $35 late fee. There is zero fraud liability.

Belk store card is not really worth it unless you are a very loyal customer. The APR is on par with other store cards, so pay it off in full every month for the discounts they offer amount to anything. The point system is basically $10 for every $400 you spend, which is less than %3 back in reward money, not even close to cover taxes. It is better than nothing, so like I said
it's probably only worth it if you are a loyal shopper there.… show more

This is a really well put together credit card with plenty of incentives to purchase one. First of all for every dollar you spend, the Belk Store Card gives you a point. That is a huge system to go by! What other card gives you one point per dollar you spend? Especially when you generally use credit cards to make large purchases. Also, if you make a new account they give you a fifteen percent
discount on a full day of shopping! Compared to most companies, this Belk most definitely has the incentives to make anyone want to sign up.… show more

This is a solid credit card. It has a great point system, with 1 point for every dollar spent its really easy to rack up those points fast. As far as online support goes, I just needed a very basic card for shopping with and it does the job. I'm about to get my second $10 400 point Belk reward and it will help pay for itself.

My fiance, now my wife, used to shop here a lot so I took advantage of the hefty discount they give you a sign up. That's the only good thing about this card because after that it was hell. We ended up moving and we were in a different time zone so one of my payments was late. We tried to call to explain this to them and they would not budge. Other cards I've
had give you a second chance but not them! I even offered to fax them a plane ticket to show them!
Also the interest rate is really high, so if you plan to carry a high balance you may as well put it on a normal card with normal rates. Avoid getting this is you can and find deals another way.… show more

I probably wouldn't apply for the Belk Store Card for a few reasons. First of all I don't shop here much even though my wife does quite a bit. This is a great opportunity to get 15% off of things that you were already going to buy. the extra points are a great idea too because you can earn more money to spend while you are buying things from them. returns are also easy as all you need is proof of receipt, so I would strongly recommend the Belk Store card.

If you like to purchase from Belk Store website I recommend you apply for the Belk Store Card, as it offers a 15% discount when you apply the first time towards a complete day for shopping. This card also offers special extra points events, so you earn 1 point for every dollar spent on Belk Store. When you have accumulated 400 points in total they will give you a$10 coupon to use toward future purchases and
also 35 exclusive savings per year. The best of it is, if you need to return any of your items its a hassle free, receipt free return. I recommend the Belk Store card for this purpose.… show more

As a store card this card seems to have some great benefits. It has that typical heavy discount for the first time you use the card and has some additional special promotions. It gives points for purchases so that you can earn reward dollars and it allows the user to take advantage of 35 exclusive savings days each year, but doesn't specify when those days are in the article. A lot of store cards can be extremely useful, and I do not see the Belk store card being any different. Belk's APR on this card is simply too high for it to be considered very appreciative of their customers, however. The Belk Store card sounds like a great card for people who have good credit and shop at the Belk Store frequently. However if you don't have very good credit you won't be able to be approved for this card, whether you shop at the Belk Store frequently or not. I would hope that this store has a card option for those you have less than great credit scores as many people do.

The Belk Store Card is ok. If you are a frequent shopper at Belk, it is probably worth it. You have to have at least a "fair" credit score to be approved. The downside is that the rewards are hard to obtain. You must spend $400 to receive $10 in Belk Rewards Dollars. The interest rate can be very high. I'm loving the receipt-free returns!

The Belk Store card has both positives and negatives that will attract or turn off credit card holders. For example, it is a reward card, but unfortunately you have to spend $400 just to receive $10 cash back, which in comparison to some reward cards like ie:CapitalOneRewards you are not receiving very much back for what you spend. However, the APR is similar to other department store cards, and even less than say a BestBuy
card. One plus that I do like about the card is the receipt-free returns, and the savings that you can get annually. Overall I give the card 3 stars due to the fact that although it offers some savings, you may have to spend quite a bit to see significant ones.… show more

The Belk Store Card is an okay card with a few decent features. On the plus side, you earn 1 point for every dollar you spend on the car. Every 400 points earns you $10 Belk Reward Dollars. The negatives of the card are 1) there are only 35 exclusive savings days each year and 2) The APR is completely outrageous at 24.49%. Unless you're going to pay off your entire balance each time you
receive your statement, you'd be better off using a different method of payment to shop at Belk.… show more

This card looks good. One feature that I especially like is the receipt free return feature. This is often a real pain for me to keep up with, so I like that the card eliminates that. I also like that accumulating points on the card gives me actual cash back rather than a percentage off as with most cards. One thing I noticed was that the grace period was only 23 days. The Belk store card comes with a generous initial shopping discount and rewards program, however rewards are only available for use through the Belk store. This is great for anyone who frequently shops at Belk, but not for anybody who wants to have a cash back option. The card is operated through GE Capital, which I have had nothing but good experience with. While an intro APR of 24.49% is high for a credit card,
I believe the rewards program makes this a great deal for anyone who does not intend to carry a balance.… show more

This card is great for the Belk fans out there. My mother frequents the store a lot and uses her card to her advantage. Overall this card is a fair way to save some money at Belk.

The Belk Store Card seems to be your average, run of the mill store card. It's nice that you're able to earn points as well as a 15% discount when you open the card, but I feel that the point to dollar ratio is a tab bit high. It's nice that there are no fees associated with this card, which is very nice! The only real draw back for this card is the high APR,

The Belk store card is a great opportunity for department store lovers! Every dollar you spent is points earned toward rewards. However, unlike cards like the Capital One Venture card, it is only usable at Belk, so it is only worthwhile for a dedicated Belk fan.

Belk seems like a great credit card like any other department store credit card. I've had a credit card with department stores like Macy's where they constantly offer special days for savings. It's always a perk to get points from where ever you shop.

It seems like a standard store credit card, good rewards for shopping in store and 15% off your one day shopping trip seems like a good deal. I would recommend it if you are an avid belk's shopper, but if you are just looking for a general credit card there are better options out there. It also doesn't say what the regular rate is and that concerns me.

The Belk Store Card seems like a good store card, but I like one card I can use for multiple stores, and there are not any Belks in the area I moved to recently. I have had a Belk credit card for at least 15 years. I have used it quite often but I prefer to use a credit card that gives me points for travel or products other than clothes. I do like the fact that if you return an item without a receipt, the cashier can just look for the charge on your account and credit it. It seems to take me a long time to accumulate
